Chapter 55

"Are you awake?" Copter heard a familiar voice asking him when he was just awake and he must have did some movement that Tee could tell he was awake. He was about to move some more when Tee pushed his shoulder down preventing him to move around. Only then he felt heavy on his left body, and he was actually cuddling with Bas, who still in a deep sleep. He didn't remember cuddling with him, that Bas maybe did it when he was already sleeping.

"What time is it?" Copter was asking while pulling Bas closer to him. The guy must have been worried about him last night since he knew he was been such a headache. When he feels like he lost it. he didn't want to, but he just couldn't help it. "Almost 12. You've been sleeping through the morning. Are you feeling okay? Hungry?"

Copter was giving Tee his small smile. "I'll eat later, once Bas had awake. Are you alone? Where is Tae?" Copter was asking just to keep the conversation going. Well, he was curious too. "I asked him to go back to the café since you both were sleeping. I didn't want to leave you two just like this, so, I decided to watch over the two of you. I'm your guardian after all."

Tee answered earning their laugh. Copter had to agree with all the guardian thing, or the welfare department will have their plan on him, and he didn't plan on following their plan. Just give it up to others who are more needed than him.

Tee and Copter were continuing talking about a lot of things and was laughing too. Copter's laughing that warm Bas's heart the most was taking him from his dreamland and he has opened his eyes slowly only to realize how protective Copter was holding him. He was smiling to himself, but at the same time, he was taking their attention on him.

"Hi, sleepyhead. Have a nice sleep?" Copter was asked while looking down at Bas that was still in his hold. "Yes, P'Cop. How about you? Hi, P'Tee." Tee was waving to Bas who was still lying in his position. "I have a good sleep too, thanks to you. But now, I want you to get up and help me to the bathroom. We need to wash up, and I'm hungry too."

In no time, they were already on the couch where Bas insist on feeding food for Copter, while Tee would just smiling watching them bickering from time to time. Seeing Wayo's expression this morning, he was so worried about these two, but seeing how they were sweetly talking to each other, Tee was taking out a breath of relief.

While they were bickering some more, Kimmon had come into the wardroom with a smile, and join them at the couch. "Hi, P'Kim. Why are you alone? Where is P'Yihwa?" Copter was the one saying hello when Bas was just waii and Tee was nodding to the guy.

"She was caught up in her stack of assignments since she neglected it with everything that happened. You don't wish to talk with her right now, she is scary. Trust me." Answered Kimmon making everyone laughing, trying to imagine how Yihwa looks like right now.

"Anyway, Cop. I'm coming here to tell you, we will open your bandaged tomorrow. With the checking and everything, we believed your operated wounds on your eyes had healed. As your friend, I wanted you to hope, even I, wanted to hope the best for you, but as your doctor, we still need to prepared for the worst-case scenario. So, let's all hope for the best for you tomorrow. Plum was taking Sandee to enjoy Bangkok together with his family, so, you don't have to worry about him."

Copter was taking in a deep breath hearing Kimmon. He knew he didn't want to let his hope high, but somehow, deep in his heart, he knew he wanted it to be okay. He wants to be able to see again. "What is the worst-case scenario, P?" Bas was the one asking Kimmon.

"The operation was failed its purpose, even though the surgery itself was a success, or his body rejecting the new cornea, or maybe he was having some complication. But since he didn't have any symptom up till now, so, I could say, no complications, but we couldn't say for sure until we could see the end result."

Bas just coming out of the bathroom when he saw his P'Cop was so deep in thoughts that he couldn't even realize Bas was coming closer to him, sitting beside him on the bed. It was night again when everyone had left for the day. Sandee and Plum's family had come join them in the evening and had stayed until after dinner that making the room happening with all the children running and screaming around, and with the adult joking and laughing.

Bas had let Copter washed up and taking his bath first, only then he took his. It was late, and he knows his P'Cop must have been tired with everyone, and at the same time, he must have been thinking about tomorrow. But most of all, he wanted to make everything clear between them, which they don't have any chance to talk about it during the day.

"P, what are you thinking about?" Copter then giving space for Bas to sit beside him on the bed. "About you. Us." Bas then taking Copter's hand into his hold and was taking in a deep breath. "What about? Care to share it with me?"

Copter then patting on Bas's hand who was holding his other hand. "I wanted to say sorry to you. I know I was bad last night. It wasn't that I don't trust you, it just that in the back of my mind was still scared that you will leave me because of my status since you are their son. You were a grandchild of a huge conglomerate in this country while I was just a nobody. That scares me the most, and just thinking that...."

Bas had put his pointer finger on Copter's mouth before he could be babbling or uttering mere nonsense and Bas didn't want to hear any of that. "P, no, I should say sorry to you. I should have known that is how you will feel after hearing what I had to say. I was so happy I forgot about it. But P, just please remember this. Whatever happened, my feelings for you will never change. In fact, I love you, even more, every day. And for tomorrow too, I don't want you to think much about it. No matter what the outcome will be, I will be here right beside you, okay, P."

"I wanted to be positive too, Bas. But...." Bas pulling on Copter's hand that was stop Copter from his trail of words. "I said, no matter what, P. You are still my P'Copter no matter what. So, how about we plan our future. Grandfather said, I could have continued my study again since I was studying using Wayo's name before, and so I could start again using my own name. I told him about you and me, so, he offered to buy me another house, and that house I've been living in before will be sold. We can live there together with my mother, and maybe...you wanted to bring Sandee?"

Copter turns to Bas, hearing Sandee's name mention by Bas. "Will you do that?" Copter was reluctantly asked. "If that what you want. I know you really care about the boy. So, settle then. Mother will be living with us, and Sandee too. That will be our small family." Copter was smiling hearing Bas, while imagining how happy he will be and that how thankful he felt at the moment.
