Chapter 2

"You'll settle this list, I'll take this list. Let's meet in front of the cafe for an hour from now." Tee was giving Copter the list of things he needs to make sure that the supplier had it fresh from their store. If they had waited in the store and then check, it will be too late to do anything. That's why Tee and Tae would visit the supplier's place with their order so they could have chosen their supplier depends on the fresh supplied they had for the day, and Copter was replaced Tae for today.

Coming back to the cafe, Sunan and New already opened up the cafe and was ready to serve the branch for the day. Tee already had prepared and baked the culinary needed for the branch before heading to the market. All Sunan and New had to do were opening the cafe and prepared the cakes that were already been baked by Tee.

New was one of the baristas while Copter and Sunan handle the order and the customer amongst five other more who work depending on their shift. The cafe opened from 10 am to 11 pm, serving various deserts and various Thai cuisines.

Tee was in charge of the culinary part, while Tae was in charge of cooking Thai cuisines part. Both of them make a great couple, and Copter had respected them that much, and they were able to accept him without prejudice, knowing he was an orphan, even though Tee came from a high-class family while Tae from a middle-class family.

"You are early," Sunan said seeing Copter coming in from the main door of the cafe. Copter was just smiling at him while raising his eyebrows while heading straight to the locker room. They knew him sometimes helping Tee or Tae at the market.

"I said, I ordered tiramisu and not cheesecake! Are you stupid or what?!" It was two hours after lunch that the voice of a woman echoing in the whole cafe making the few customers and all the staff turning their heads at the scene.

Copter was bowing down to the woman who screaming nonstop. "But you did order cheesecake, miss. I even confirmed it with you before taking the order." The woman was splash the water that was in front of her, making Copter's face and front body wet with white water.

"Are you accusing me of lying now, too? Where is the manager! Manager!" Tee was rushing from the kitchen, coming closer to the scene, and was shocked to see the wet face and clothes of Copter, standing beside the woman with her companion. Was it her date? The guy would just show a non-amused and straight face while enjoying his cheesecake.

"How can I help you, miss?" Tee tried to resolve the situation. He wasn't sure how and why, but most of the customers always seeking, no, on purposely making trouble with Copter. "Help?! How did you run your restaurants with this kind of worker? He wasn't just making a mistake for my order, and he dared to accuse me of lying! I was one of your regular customers and I demand you fired him. This mistake couldn't have happened to another customer, right?!"

Tee was about to say something when another gentleman coming closer, cutting into their conversation. "Please stop, woman. I don't know why you had to do this, but I couldn't sit still watching everything you did just to torment him. So what if you are a regular customer? This cafe had many regular customers, and losing one customer like you doesn't affect anything. You demand him to serve you when another server came to you first. Then you accused him of doing a mistake he didn't do when I clearly heard you when you ordered cheese cake, not tiramisu, just what do you have against him?"

Hearing the guy, Tee was really had a hard time to keep his anger in. 'Yes, what do you have against Copter, you b*tch!' "Now, that we have other customers as a witness, I don't think my worker here did a mistake, miss. Please keeps enjoy the cheesecake you ordered and stop all this. We will not be taking action against you. However, if this is to happen again, we will. Please, excuse us. Enjoy your meal."

The woman couldn't say anything to counter the gentlemen who helped them as a witness, since all he said was the truth. Tee then turns to Copter. "You can take a break for 15 minutes. Don't forget to change your clothes too." Copter then waii to Tee and to that gentlemen while saying his thanks to both of them.

Tee then followed the guy to his previous seat. "Thank you for backing up our worker. It was already chaos with peak hour and all, and we had to face this kind of situation too sometimes. If we had lots of customers like you, our work would be easier. Anyway, thank you for your help, and your meal today is in the house. Please do come again. I'm Tee by the way."

The gentlemen would just smile while shaking the hands that were offered to him. "Kimmon. I worked at the hospital not far from here. Just transferred here three months ago, and I've been here quite a few times for dinner take away. Definitely will coming here again. Your food just fits my taste, and the coffee here is the best. I just stated the truth, still, thank you for the meal though."

Tee then walked back to the kitchen and also need to check on Copter, so he was heading to the locker room instead. Going back to the locker room, Copter was taking a seat at the chair inside the locker room, wasn't even changed his uniform. "Are you okay?" Tee would ask while taking a seat beside Copter.

"Tired. And wet." They both were chuckled at it. "Since one of my classmates found me here two months ago, they keep coming at me, one by one. I'm sorry Tee, because of me, a lot of commotion happened here in your cafe. But still, I don't want to lose this job. Please, Tee."

Tee was sighing. He could understand Copter. Copter was jobless almost 6 months before he got the job here. He was almost close to starvation and could only afford to eat a pack of ramyeon a day during that whole six months, with the money he got after he left the orphanage. Even after he got the job, he wouldn't take any dinner but to packed it and brought it home so that he could heat it for breakfast the next tomorrow morning, before coming to work. He walked to the cafe, so he needed enough energy, so he saves the free meal for breakfast.

With no one to rely on, no friend to ask for help, finally, he could get a job, and everything was fine for him during these three years until a classmate in high school happened to come to this cafe, and he saw Copter. The bullied victim of the whole school, during his last two years in high school, just because he falls in love with the wrong person.

No, it was basically the bet makes on him from the beginning. Being someone who lacked love and attention, of course, he would fall for a girl who had offered him that kind of love, care, and attention and he thought that girl was sincere until he decided to confess to her. It turns out, she was recording his confession, no, actually makes it live in her insta, which most of their schoolmate was her follower.

Instead of answering his confession, she was laughing and was talking to her recording, telling them (whoever that were) that she had won the bet. She did make this poorest guy in their school fall for her in three months' time.

Tee couldn't imagine how Copter going through days after that in that same school. He couldn't afford to change school either and even after finished school, they were planning to torment him still?

"We need a plan."
