Chapter 33

Just like Kimmon's plan, they were all on their way to Kimmon's hometown in Kimmon's car. Tae was still doesn't really understand the reason he couldn't bring his own car, but he complied with it since Kimmon was really demanding with it. Get in his car, or not ever.

It was one hour and a half journey and it was at the outskirts of the city, but still part of Bangkok. It was an area that wasn't really known to people, and they even had to literally pass some farm to get there. And to Tae and Tee's surprise, this village even had this big gate with a big gateway that has guards guarding it. They might have recognized Kimmon's car right away, that they will open the door when his car stops in front of it.

Okay. That was the reason he couldn't drive here, but what's with all this setting? What kind of village is Kimmon's village? Driving into it, Tae and Tee couldn't believe their eyes. The house they have seen along the way had built in this classical way, it looks like it was there since the 1980s and they felt that they were brought back in time.

The house design, the environment, the feels. It was kind of refresh, he admits it, and Copter couldn't help but be smiling all the way since they were entering the gate. He could feel and smell the fresh air in the village, and that makes him smile, which of course, makes Kimmon smiling too.

"Welcome to my village, guys." Kimmon would say, but seriously, Tae and Tee was still dumbfounded. Copter then opening the window and was taking the air from outside. Though it was noon, and it was hot, Copter couldn't help but feel the air so fresh. He thought the air at the park was fresh enough, but here, it was 10 times better than that, or maybe much much more.

Going ahead, Tae and Tee could tell what they see was like a small town, and they had various shops, literally various shops, that one shop was offered different things after another. It was like all the shops were open to fulfill the needs of the people living here, instead of shops with the competition. Was it? Tae and Tee were having this scrunched up face while looking around.

"What kind of place is this, Kimmon?" Tee couldn't help but ask. His curiosity was adding up one after another, and he couldn't wait. Kimmon was smiling while still maneuvering his car to his target location, his home which actually places at the end of this village.

"It's a village, my hometown, Tee." Tee was giving his distorted mouth, getting irritated with his diplomatic answer. "Yeah, right." He answers it sarcastically while giving that guy his glare from the backseat which Kimmon was giving his laugh at it. He knew how irritated Tee was, but, Tee will know all about it later. Someone else will answer him all his question.

Tae and Tee were shocked once again when the car was stopped yet in front of another gate, and this time it looks like a gate to a mansion, or was it a castle? They could see different small houses in this big gate of the area. And Kimmon parked his car beside a few other expensive cars and people came rushing to him, and waiting for him even before Kimmon was getting out of the car.

Once the car's engine was stopped, the car's door on Kimmon's side was open by a guy, which the guy with all the people who came greeting him was bowing to him. "Welcome back, Master Kimmon." Tae and Tee were agape, and Copter wouldn't have any idea what was happening, but hearing the greetings from the guy, he had an idea, Kimmon wasn't a simple guy as he seems to be.

"Thank you, guys. My friend Copter on the passenger seat. Who do you assign for him, Gan?" Kimmon would ask. "Plum and his family, sir."

Kimmon was nodding his head for Plum who later was half-running to open the car's door on Copter's side. "And these two guys, Tae and Tee will be my guest, treat them well. Gan, bring them to the quarters. Tae, Tee, and Copter, I have to greet my elders first. Please be comfortable. If you ever need anything, just tell this guy, his name is Gan. If you ever need an answer, Tee, you could always ask Gan. He will answer your question without fail. I'll come back to join you guys for lunch. I'll go first."

Kimmon was leaving with a few guys following him behind, leaving them with these two guys, Plum and Gan. "Please follow me, Master Tae and Master Tee. Plum will help Master Copter, and he will be Master Copter's personal assistant from now on." Hearing Gan, all three of them were shocked was actually an understatement. Personal assistant? He was just a nobody. That was Copter had in his mind.

Gan was laughing a little to their expression. "It's a way to tell you that Copter was safe here, and I will tell all about this family and this village. I know you have a lot of questions. Let's get to it one by one while we make our way to the quarters. Shall we?" Gan was giving the signal with his hand but Tee and Tae were giving him the same signal back, telling him to go first and they will follow his step.

By the time they have reached the quarters for their stay, Tae and Tee had all their answers regarding Kimmon, his family, and this village, while Copter did was just listen to their conversation. It turns out that Kimmon's family owned all the land in this village and also the farm they have seen before reaching this village.

That's why, according to Gan, all the people in the village were like this big family. They get to live in their house without paying any rent, but all of them had worked for Warodom Enterprise in various fields. Even the shops chained was under the management of Warodom Enterprise. It was strict from Warodom's family generation to generation to keep the traditional way of living in this village.

Warodom Enterprise wasn't all traditional though, they just kept it inside this village they called home. For those who weren't willing to stay inside, they still could work in Warodom's headquarters building up in the city, which most of the management for their various business had been handle there. Well, hearing the stories, and looking at all of these traditional buildings for every quarter, Tae and Tee had the expression of Kimmon as a prince in the Joseon era. Saying that out loud, Gan and Plum were laughing at that.

Arriving at the quarters, a woman had greeted them that turns out it was Plum's wife who will be living here attending to Copter's needs. They were just sitting on the floor inside the quarter when Copter heard a baby crying non-stop that he couldn't just ignore.

"Plum, do you have a baby? I could hear the baby was crying non-stop." Copter would say surprising Plum and his wife, even Tae, and Tee too since they couldn't hear anything. "Yes, sir Copter. It was our baby back in the room, my son of six years old had to swing him in his cradle, but no matter what, he just couldn't stop crying. Since I have to attend to you, I close the door tightly so that his crying will not disturb the guest." Plum's wife, Peraya would answer.

"Why don't you take the baby here, and taking care of him first? We all will be fine, right, Tee, and Tae?" Copter would have said making Plum giving his guiltily smile since he knew it wasn't proper. "Yes, it is fine for us too. Just take him here, poor baby crying and you had to leave him with his child brother." Tee would add making Peraya bowing to them and headed to their room behind the quarters.

Not long after that, she came while she would sway her hold trying to calm the baby, but the baby couldn't calm down from his crying, no matter how hard she was trying to sway her hold. "The baby had a problem every time he needs to sleep. We put him in the cradle, and we trying to sway him while in our hold, but it was hard to calm him down. The doctor said he didn't have any problem, so we don't have any idea what to do." Plum would say.

"How did he sleeps at night then?" Copter would ask. "We didn't know. We always fall asleep while swinging his cradle, that once we open our eyes, he was fast asleep." Copter was smiling hearing Plum. "Would you mind?" Copter then stretch his hand to the direction where Peraya was standing with the crying baby in her hold.

Plum was giving her a nod and she then handed the baby to Copter. Taking the crying baby, Copter then put him on his lap, which he was sitting crossed-leg on the floor, and was patting on the baby's arm trying to calm him down. A few minutes later, the baby stop crying and was actually yawning before falling asleep, shocking everyone.

"Not every baby loves being in cradle. I have one baby sister that was acting just like him when she was a baby. In fact, she was the easiest to take care of, since she will be fine just lying on the mattress. I guess this baby was like that too." Copter had said.
