17. The Storm

Hunter POV

It's been 3 months since Nova has been in our lives, that evening when we changed her we found a piece of paper in her pocket and it had Chris's personal phone number on it with a smiley face, we contacted him and he told us Nova birthday is June 20th. After we got Nova settled my mum did a full check on her and everything was good surprisingly.

We expected there to be complications because she was really early, she is behind on her walking and talking but she has started crawling and she can say a few words like no, owie and why. We are waiting for her to say mummy or daddy but that might be a while. We are just making the most of it before the storm comes.

I woke up expecting to see my vixen but she isn't there, we have been staying in my bedroom together more often now and she has stopped having nightmares, I get changed and head downstairs, I walk into the kitchen and see my beautiful vixen at the sink washing up and our little girl in her chair.

Hunter – Morning my queen and princess!

Fallon turns and smiles.

Fallon – Morning my king! Look Nova it's daddy!

She smiles so big and start babbling noises and then she says...

Nova – Da...

I look at her and then Fallon and she has tears in her eyes.

Fallon - That's right princess, that's daddy.

I mouth sorry to her because I know she wanted Nova to say mummy first but Fallon just smiles and nods her head, I go over and kiss Nova head and she starts screaming and slapping the table making her porridge go everywhere.

Hunter – Look at you, your one messy princess aren't you?

She nods her head and I kiss her head.

Fallon – Come on missy let's get you cleaned up and changed.

Nova – No.

I chuckle and Fallon gives me her best narrow eyed.

Fallon – Don't encourage her!

Hunter – Wouldn't dream of it my queen.

I smirk and she rolls her eyes and picks Nova up.

Hunter – I will punish you later for rolling your eyes!

She turns and smirks at me.

Fallon – Looking forward to it.

She walks off and I just laugh, Kylo walks into the kitchen looking shattered.

Hunter – Up to late having fun with Skylar?

Kylo – Up with Skylar yes, having fun no!

Hunter - What's wrong?

Kylo – She was up all night being sick, she has a temperature, I've just asked your mum to give her a check over.

Hunter – Could she be pregnant?

I see Kylo go as white as a ghost and I chuckle.

Hunter – Take that as a yes.

Kylo - It's possible we haven't been being careful lately but that wouldn't explain the temperature.

Hunter – True, lets hope it's nothing serious.
