Hunter POV

I hear bleeping and I automatically know I'm in the hospital, whether it's the hospital back home or a different one I don't know, I try to open my eyes but the light bloody hurts, I slowly blink and let my eyes adjust and then I see I'm in our house hospital room, no one is around so I press the call button and a few seconds later my mum comes in and smiles.

Zoey – Good to see your awake, how are you feeling?

Hunter – Like I've been hit by a bus, what happened?

Zoey – Well you my son decided to be all heroic and push Archie out of the church and a bomb went off and it collapsed on you.

Hunter – I remember doing that and I remember the wooden flooring giving way and falling through and then nothing else.

Zoey – You hit your head so it knocked you out.

Hunter – Is Archie okay?

I say worriedly.

Zoey – He is perfectly fine just feeling a little guilty.

Hunter – Well he shouldn't, I would do it for anyone.

Zoey – I know.

Hunter – So apart from a bang to the head I'm okay?

I go to push myself up and get a sharp pain in my leg and arm.

Hunter – Mother fücker!

Zoey – Well you don't need me to tell you now.

Hunter – What the fück?!

Zoey - You've broken your arm, it was a clean break and outside the skin so I had to push it back in and attach it back with a melt plate and you have a really bad cut on your leg it's really deep, I had to stitch muscles back together then the skin.

I just look at my mum in shock, never in my life have I had a bad injury like this, yes I've been a cage fighter alongside me being in the Mafia and I've been hurt lots but never have I had something seriously broken that it was out of my skin, I've broken a few bones here and there but it was nothing. Question is what does this mean for me fighting and protecting everyone.

Zoey – Stop worrying I can see the worry in your eyes, you will be fine and back to normal in no time, you still have a good arm and good leg.

Hunter – But I'm going to be no use to anyone in finding Ariel now, I won't be able to walk properly for at least a week or 2 and my arm I won't be able to fight properly.

Zoey – Stop worrying you will be fine, your still young and fit so you will be back to normal in no time.

I huff and lean my head back and I feel my mum grab my hand, I look at her and she smiles at me.

Zoey – You have nothing to worry about okay?!

I nod my head.

Hunter – How is Fallon?

She smiles at me.

Zoey – Taking charge in your office, all the men have gone out to search the power plants to see if Ariel is in any, Catherine is still testing the drugs and seeing if Fallon's blood holds any of them, I've been looking after you.

Hunter – How long have I been out?

Zoey – A day, I kept giving you sedatives so you would stay a sleep to health quicker.
