30. Important Decisions

Skylar POV

I've just seen the best news ever that I'm pregnant but then it's completely shattered when I find out I'm not only pregnant but I have cancer, I don't know how long I have just listened to everything Zoey has told me and I feel Kylo squeeze my hand, I look at him and he is smiling but I can tell he is scared.

Kylo – Whatever you decide I will support you.

Skylar – We make the decisions together, this is your baby as much as mine.

Kylo – I know but I honestly don't know what to do, I don't want to loose you or the baby.

Skylar – I know.

I look at Zoey for help and she smiles.

Zoey – I know you want my help but I can't tell you what to do all I can say is if I was pregnant and had cervical cancer I would start treatment, your over 12 weeks so you can start the treatment but you need to understand the complications that could happen but if you survive you can always try again if your baby doesn't make it.

I nod my head.

Zoey – I know it's a horrible decision to make but only you and Kylo can make it.

Kylo – Is there a chance of the baby surviving if we do take the treatment?

Zoey – There definitely is a chance.

Skylar – But there is a chance the baby could suffer development problems right?

Zoey – It is possible but we won't know until it's born.

Skylar – I want to try treatment but only if your okay with it Kylo?

He smiles and pulls me into a side hug.

Kylo – Of course I am okay with it! I support you in whatever you do!

Zoey – I need to take a sample of the cancer so I can test to see which treatment works best on it, if that's okay?

Skylar – How do you get a sample?

Zoey - It's basically how they do a smear test, I will go inside you with a scrapper and scrap some away.

Skylar – Okay.

She grabs everything she needs to take a sample and after I'm sat on the bed looking at the scan pictures she printed off, I hear a knock at the door and in walks Bentley she hands Zoey a envelope and looks at me, she has tears in her eyes.

Skylar – I'm sorry for snapping at you earlier.

Bentley - It's okay.

Skylar - It's not okay, you was just being nice and I assumed.

Bentley – Honestly it's fine.

She looks at Zoey and smiles.

Bentley – Let me know what they say when you read it.

I look between them.

Skylar - What's going on?

Zoey – Do you want to tell her?

Bentley looks at me and smiles.

Bentley – I never put it together earlier and Zoey helped me see that we have the same last name, why?

My eyes go big when I realise what she is trying to say.

Skylar - It's not possible!
