What a beautiful day.

A sunny day, a sea of blue untouched by clouds. The sun was beaming. The trees and plants were in bloom. It was undeniably a beautiful day.

"Well, what do we have here?" Renee, a waitress from a run down cafe spoke. She had firey red hair, golden yellow eyes. She spoke with dignity and grace, a type that was unmatched when compared to the atmosphere of the cafe. Before her, stood a peculiar pair. Masky and hoodie stood before her, their masks placed carefully on their face to make sure they didn't reveal any of their delicate features.

The men didn't speak at first, they knew they didn't have to. As old time regulars of this place they knew that they would never be turned away, even if they were dressed so uncasually.

"Still refusing to speak I see." Renee spoke again, she put a hand on her hip. She wore a white blouse with a long red skirt. Her name tag was pinned straight. She wore her hair in a tight bun. She let out a soft huff when she realized they still weren't speaking. "Alright then. Go to your usual spot... I'll get the kitchen to work on your usuals."

The two men quietly made their way to a booth in the corner of the old cafe where they sat across from eachother. Their silence was obvious, but they both stared at eachother as the mental connection between them flared up.

The underrealm was a lawless place when it came to magic and expressing abilities. And it was even encouraged for people and demons alike to use their talents to help them go through their days. And so, whenever hoodie and masky needed to discuss plans that they seemed confidential they always came to the little run down cafe to share thoughts with eachother. It was the best way for them to speak without anyone getting into their business. When they connected with eachother, it was as if they were both lost in their own heads. Their bodies were relaxed, their hands held eachothers over the table. It was a strange sight to say the least, but it was the best way for them to be around eachother.

There weren't many words between the two, but it was just enough for them to know they were on the same page. They have been looking for (y/n) for too long, and they knew their master was getting impatient. They had one lead, but after they had come here without permission... Their master had almost given someone else the opportunity to come down here to try and find her. It was an interesting night before it was ultimately decided for sure that they would be the ones to come back.

The connection between the two of them broke when Rene brought around their coffee.

"You boys sure are something else, tell you what. If you say anything at all right here right now, I'll give you everything for free." Rene grinned as she placed the coffee down on the table. But to her disappointment neither boy said anything. "You both sure are a tough crowd." She teased as she walked off to greet another group.

The pair couldn't help but feel amused by Rene and her teasing. She was always there, willing to talk to anyone and raise their spirits. She was an old soul and she was never afraid to show her support to any customer that walked through her doors. It didn't take them long to try to get back to their connection... That was, until Rene had turned on the TV that wasn't too far from them. Their attention was drawn to the show that was playing.

Rene noticed the two and she smiled. "I forget you boys ain't from around here, this is a new special that's going on." She tapped the tv a few times waiting for the sound to come on. "They have little demon and human kids fighting against eachother. It's pretty entertaining. I'm usually not one for violence but sometimes these little things can come up with some creative ways of torture." Her laughter filled the silence. "Oh don't look at me like that, just watch, you'll see what I'm talking about." And with that, she left the channel on as she went to serve.

Hoodie had tensed up during her little explanation, and he started to watch with a hightened sense of curiosity. A show like this, whether it be a reality or a scripted show was certainly something that was unheard of. He leaned forward to watch as best as he could. He could see the different groups of kids that would come across eachother. He watched the fights and the death. Everything felt a little too... Real.

Masky, was disgusted. He put his arms by his side as his fingers tapped on his thighs. His first thoughts were of how distasteful it was to exploit children in this way. He just was glad that as of now there wasn't any sign that (y/n) wasn't involved in this type of activity.

But... It didn't take them long to see the (h/l) (h/c) child bounce from tree to tree. They watched as kids passed under her with no indication that they knew she was there. But they also watched as different groups of kids would come together and talk about her as their next easy target. They were planning on taking her out the next chance they got. Hoping to make a sacrifice to the people that trapped them in there for more supplies. As, food and medical equipment was becoming scarce.

Instantly the two boys leapt from their seats, paying their bill of course, and rushing out to the nearest exit. This, was the hit they've been looking for. The sign that (y/n) was still alive and that there was a chance for them to find her and take her home. But the question of where she was and how to get to her still remained.
