I'm back... Again, I'm so sorry for the long unexpected wait. I rewrote this chapter four different times each with new ideas. Its been rough. But i hope y'all enjoy.

"H...hello?" Your small voice whimpered out as you tried to peer through the darkness. You tried to move your arms but they were handcuffed tightly behind your back, no amount of training you went through prepared you for how tight these cuffs were. No safety trick you were forced to memorized gave you any sort of relief in them. You tried everything you could to twist yourself out of it but was instead met with them tightening around your tiny wrists. Eventually you gave up trying and instead you began to walked blindly in the darkness. The straight path you took seemed to go on forever. Your eyes tried to adjust themselves over and over again which left you dizzy and disoriented. "hello...!" You tried yelling again but to no avail.

There were no sounds in the room, not even the sound of your bare feet slapping against the cool floor was enough to reach your ears. It  was so silent, you could hear your blood flowing through your veins. This caused the hairs on the back of your neck to stand up. You couldn't help but let out a small whimper as the silence continued on. You felt your heart begin to race in your chest, you couldn't help it. With a silence this still and uncomfortable it was inevitable that you would start to feel its anxious affects.

You felt like falling over, after a while of silence and darkness. The affects were starting to make you go mad. You were confused and angry and you didn't know why you were there, how you ended up there. All you wanted to do was fall over and curl up into a little ball, giving into the darkness. You were about to do just as such but then suddenly a click echoed within the room and a few seconds later you could hear a whirring sound start up and then the lights of the room were forced on. Your eyes burned, causing you to squeeze them shut for a few seconds and then slowly open them in order to get them used to the new light.

"Welcome to your first test, human."  A voice suddenly called out from a speaker. It was loud. It reached every corner of the massive room. It made your head spin from how loud it was. From silence to an echoing loudness that seemed to come from every direction, you honestly had no idea how you should've felt. You whimpered loudly and you tried to lean your head to the side onto your shoulder and use it as a way to scratch your ears. The sudden loudness made your ears ring in an awful way. But the talking continued on "We will test why that faceless demon ever thought taking on you would be a good idea. The first test is simple. Get through the maze. If you do, you move on to your second test. If you don't well," laughter erupted. Causing your eyes to squeeze shut. the laughing went on for an uncomfortable amount of time that caused your head to feel as if it had split four ways.  "Then you will die trying. Good luck, child." And with that you felt the room shake violently as everything around you began to spring to life walls sprouted all around you and you even had to move out of the way as a wall was growing next to you.

You fell to the floor, you looked up as a plain white wall sprouted. You tried to hold back your fearful screaming as you honestly had no idea what was going on. The longer you waited for the shaking to stop, the longer you felt as if you were going to die. The uneasiness weighed heavily on your chest until the shaking was over and ten foot walls sprouted on either side of you.

"Begin," The voice spoke for the last time before it faded. The cuffs on your wrists undid itself and clattered to the floor. Yo You stood up and you looked at the long hall in front of you and began to run.

~

You flung yourself forward, forcing yourself to move. Your body ached but there was no resting for you, you had to keep moving keep fighting the pain in your body. Everytime you stoped, you felt your body being shocked over and over again until you moved again. Everytime you leaned against one of the cold walls, something  emerged from the shadows to threaten you. Their snarls were enough to keep you  going. You couldn't describe the monster that lurked in the corner. The darkness covered them, but  you could see their cold glowing eyes. a thick nasty smell wafted from then. Even holding your nose was no match for these beasts of the corner.

You have been going at this all day, you lost track of the hours, but you knew deep in your bones that its been longer than anything you've ever had to do in your life. You turned to the left at the next fork in the road. You ran down as far as you could until you realized that you were at a dead end. You let out a loud scream in frustration and you started crying, you punched the wall with all of the might that your small body would allow. You whined loudly afterwards as the punch was a lot harder than you were expecting. You tried to calm yourself down, but then you felt it, the electric shocks. They ran throughout your whole body, you felt like you were on fire the whole time.

You had to keep going. You had to keep running. there was nothing else at this moment that you could do. You didn't know why this was happening, but what you did know is that the more you ran, the less pain you felt. Your lungs started to ache as you ran back the way you came and instead took the right. Just a little further. please. please be close. You felt yourself stumble forward slightly as you tripped on your own small feet. But you knew that if you messed up again, there would be no way for you to get up again. The hall was silent, the brightly lit room burned your eyes. The fluorescent light burned holes through your skull. You knew it was all to break you down. But no matter how many times you went down, how many times you were shocked or scared, you didn't let yourself break.

You began to let your self get serious. You knew that this would only end if you forced yourself to keep going. The end had to be close. So you tried to remember what the room looked like without the walls. If there were any doors... But nothing came to your mind. The only thing you could remember was how when the lights came on you were so focused on the light and the voice that you didn't even check your surroundings for any way to escape. Dang it... Dang it! How I go home now? You started to worry but you started to breathe slow in order to close your mind. Papa always said, when you worry breathe slow.... And pace yourself. So you did just that.

You started to walk, taking in the time to really see everything that the room had to offer. When looking with  panicked glances, you thought all the walls were the same white that even matched the walls. But now that you slowed down, and took your time you saw that the walls really weren't all that it seemed to be. The walls were a faded beige color, but there were faint stains on the walls. It was a detail easily missed by you since your young child body was way too short to see how the stains were at first glance. The stains were just above your head and they followed all the way down the hall.

The stain was almost the same color as the wall so it wouldn't have been an easy thing for anyone to point out at first glance. But you did. You saw it and decided that you wanted to follow this stain. You didn't know why and you didn't even know if this was a good idea or not but you really didn't have a choice. There was nothing that you could really do to get out. So, with a defeated sigh you began to follow the trail of stain.

You put your hand on the wall and felt a slight tingle nothing that would seriously harm you. You started to walk and you realized that the longer you followed the stain the worse the tingling became. You wondered if this meant you were going the right way or if you were going the right way. You decided to test your luck by continuing to follow the path. You let out a soft whine as it got worse and worse. It was like a metal detector: the louder and longer it beeped the more it meant that you actually found something. Though, you never used a metal detector before so you honestly really couldn't out the two together. You came across yet another fork in the road. There were three paths in which you could take. Left Right straight. You frowned a little bit as there were too many options to simply pick from. You started for a second. And came to a stop. Then you felt it. Another wave of electricity pumping through your little body. But something about it felt different. It wasn't as strong as it always had been. It hurt, yes, but it wasn't like the first few times. You whimpered and started to breathe heavy. You looked from side to side wondering which path to take... And that's when you heard it. From your right side you heard the growling and the snarls from the beasts you have seen plenty of times during this mess. You knew you needed to avoid the right. Avoid the beasts at all costs. Then you looked to your left. You saw it. Another stained path. You quickly began to follow that.

By using this method you were able to finally figure out where you needed to go. The maze which took 5 hours to figure out, only took 10 minutes after that to complete. When you saw the door you burst into tears as a giant smile crept into your face. You made a run for the door and then you turned it and pulled it open letting yourself collapse onto the ground. Curling yourself up and let yourself finally relax. Finally.... Finally.... Finally...
