Papa always says that if I was good, maybe one day I would get to grow as big and strong as him. If I was the goodest... If I did everything they told me, I wouldn't have to be so sad.

But no matter what I did I was never the goodest girl?

The day came where you had to face off with the other children, you were nervous and you couldn't stop forgetting. You tried to train as hard as you could, but being a three year old in a crowd of older children was intimidating. You were put in a black shirt, and camo overalls. Camo boots to match. You felt heavy, and had a hard time getting used to the extra weight from your shoes
and the back pack you were forced to carry.

The game was changed a few  times in the course of the three weeks you first started training for it, it changed as it had to be adjusted to the amount of people that had joined in throughout the span of those said three weeks. It started off as a simple team death math, groups of two to three, battling out till the end. However, as more people began to be forced into the sick game, the more attention it got. And soon, it became a free for all match. The tricky part was that the whole game took place in an indoor arena. There was no escape besides for winning. the arena was as wide as a mini forest. The idea of the game was that you were allowed to use anything that you had in your back pack and the wooded area for your survival. The idea, was that there would only be one left alive at the end, and whoever survived would be given the ultimate prize .... But nobody knew what that meant.

Everyone was brought into the woods, blind folded and into different locations. This allowed for a slight lead for everyone. Once the loud whistle sounded, you were allowed to lift off the blind fold. You blinked slowly, taking in the bright light. You stopped for a moment to take in a deep breath of fresh air. You felt a smile creep onto your face as you felt the fresh air and light for the first time since you were taken. You could feel a little giggle tickle your throat as you felt a slight sense of freedom.

Papa.... I will win for you.

You closed your eyes for a second and tried to come up with a plan, but it ended suddenly when you heard a loud shriek echo throughout the woods. You jumped and clinged tightly to the straps of your back pack. You realized that there were people already desperate to get the game started. You began to walk around, you knew that everyone back inside had little faith in you, you were one of the youngest in the game, you lacked experience and you were still recovering from their last test with you. To them you would make for an easier target, and so you knew you would be sought out for first. You had to keep your guard up at all times.

You tried to suppress your foot steps, trying hard not to make a sound as you walked. You could already hear the nagging in your head.

"Come on (Y/n) I can hear you from a mile away, if I can hear you then that means anyone can hear you. Do you want to be taken away by a monster?!" The memory of your papas voice blasted in your mind and it caused your (E/c) eyes to slowly brim with tears. You sniffles and you held onto your back pack tighter and tried to get as quiet as you could.

You then noticed that the world around you became silent. There was suddenly no screaming, no footsteps, and even any wild life that had been there was also gone. At first you decided not to take too much notice in this. But eventually it grew to bother you.  You felt uneasy and at one point even stopped walking. You couldn't figure out the reason behind the silence and that bothered you the most.  You looked around but you couldn't see anything besides for trees and other greenery... And you thought that maybe everyone had just gone and went to make themselves a hideout. This game was meant to last for many weeks, as some of these kids were skilled killers and stalkers, the scientists all believed that this game could last a while before there was any significant losses. When you made your mind up on that idea, you decided that it would be best for you to follow that idea and get yourself somewhere safe. You began to walk again.

Soon the day came to a close and night fell over the arena, you had been walking for hours and still hadn't found a secure enough shelter. But you decided that you had to stop for a short break. You sat down under a tree, making sure to hide yourself in some bushes and you slipped off your back pack and unzipped it to see what supplies they had granted you. You had been told that the supplies in the back packs had been different for most people. And that when you managed to kill someone to always look inside their back packs and take what was useful to you. It was to make the game more rewarding to some.

You dug through your back and found a few essentials, a first aid kit, that looked like it was already used. When you opened it you saw that there was only a few useless bandaids, and a short roll of gauze. You closed it and put it back inside the bag. You then counted three bottles of water, five granola bars, a sandwich, a knife, a flashlight. One battery, one thing roll of old duck tape and two small travel size bottles of a black liquid. You let out a small sigh and you took a quick drink from the water. You weren't sure if there was any fresh water areas here and so you knew that you had to save the water. But you scarfed down the sandwich. You sat back against the tree and wondered what the black stuff in the bottle was, but you didn't want to try and rest it out for anything incase it ended up being something else.

You hugged the back pack close to yourself as you began to let your mind wander, you thought about your family again, and you wondered how they were doing. You rested your head against the back pack as you felt tears roll down your cheek.

Papa.... Isn't coming to get me.... Is he...? I'm aw alone .... Papa..... I'm scared ....

You let the silent tears rush down and you hugged the back pack tighter. You didn't want to be left alone to play this sick game, but you also didn't want to die. This was your only option now.... Play the game and win, and then try to stay alive as long as it takes to get yourself home.
