"You're The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me" (Part 2)

Chapter 38

                                                                                (Adam's POV)

   Today is the album release date. I cannot wait to see what the fans reactions are going to be. It's been a few months since Matty's and Rose's wedding. Rose is stuck on bed rest so we've been doing a lot of band events at Matty's. I don't mind it because it means everyone can be a part of it but at the same time it's a bit much. Destiny and I have been enjoying our alone time. It's important for us to spend the time that we have before I tour again with the band. Destiny and I have been wanting to adopt a dog which we did yesterday. Our dog, Rivs, licks my face. I laugh. "Good morning to you too." I say hello to our golden retriever we got. 

  "Morning my sweet husband." Destiny kisses me on the cheek. 

  "Morning my gorgeous wife." I say, looking at her. 

  "I love when you do that." Destiny says, sitting down next to me on the couch. "Its going to be an amazing day." She says. 

  I look at her, shoving our dog off of me. "Why would that be?" I ask her not knowing why she says that. 

  "The album release party." She says. "Plus we might have a new boy joining the family today." 

  "That's right. The baby is due any day now." I say. "It will be an incredible thing. I know that it might suck for Rose to give birth but yeah." 

  "I think so too. I know how much joy it will bring to Matty and Rose." She says in agreement. "It will bring us joy as well." 

  "I'm excited for whats next." I state. "There is going to be a lot of changes happening but I'm excited to go through it all with you." 

  "Me too. Is it weird knowing that you're going to be touring as Drive Like I Do instead of as The 1975?" Destiny asks. 

  "Yes it is but technically we'll be touring as both. We're playing songs from each band. Drive Like I Do doesn't have enough songs for it to be a headline tour with just that. We are doing songs from both bands cause it makes more sense to do it that way." I explain to her. There's a lot that had to go into our decision for this tour but we're doing it because we love touring. 

  "That makes sense I guess." She states. "I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us." She says. 

  "As am I." I state. My phone rings. I check the caller ID to see that it's Matty calling. I answer. "Hey Matty whats up?" 

  "I wanted to check on you guys and let you know that Rose is doing well." Matty says. 

  "Thanks for letting me know." I state. "So no news about the baby?" 

  "Not yet but I'll keep in touch." Matty says. "Letting you know how things are going." 

  "Thanks." I hang up a moment later.
