"You're The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me" (Part 2)

Chapter 16

                  (Matty's POV)

  For a long time I couldn't imagine myself being engaged that was until I met Rose. She has changed my life and I don't know where I would be without her. She is the best thing to ever happen to me. I am so lucky to have her in my life. She means so much to me. We haven't set a wedding date yet but it is hard when we are both going on tour. We haven't figured out all the details of the tour yet. We have dates set but don't know when we'll be home and rested.

  Rose smiles at me as we are at tour rehearsal. "I love being engaged to you Healy." She tells me.

  I smile at her. "I love being engaged to you as well, Rivers." I use her last name.

  She kisses my cheek. "I am so lucky to have you as my fiance." She tells me.

  I smile. "As am I."

  "Stop flirting and get your ass over here to rehearse!" Jamie yells at us. He is in a bit of a mood today.

  "Fine." I sass him back, going over to rehearse the band's set that we decided on. I know that this tour was almost two years in the making. I know that this also means a lot to Rose as well. It's her first major tour actually it's her first tour. I focus on singing the set as I look at my fiance. There's a lot going on in my head right now. After I finish the rehearsal, Rose and I go out to look at potential venues for our wedding. Even though we don't have a date set yet, we still want to look at places. We thought it might help us decide on a date. 

  Rose takes my hand as we head to the car. "I am glad that we are looking at potential venues today." She states. 

  I smile at her. "I am too. Maybe it will help us decide on a date. I know we haven't been engaged long but it would be nice for us to talk about a date." 

  She nods. "I think we should decide on a date soon. I know we haven't been engaged long but it is something to think about." She states. "I know Amanda and Destiny are talking about their dates already." 

  "I know they are. We all have to work around each other. We all got engaged around the same time so it makes sense to work around each other." I tell her as we get in the car to drive us to the first venue. 

  "We have to work around the tour schedule too." She says, turning the radio on. "There's a lot of things to work around." 

  "Yes there is but it will work itself out. Anyway rehearsal went better than usual." I state about today's rehearsal. "We leave for tour in a week." I tell her. 

  "I am nervous about this tour. Opening for my favorite band means a lot to me.  It means a lot to you as well. I cannot thank you enough for having me as the opening act. This will change my life. My album is also out tomorrow!" She is excited about the fact that she has come a long way since she moved here last year. She has been through a lot but she is a strong and amazing person. She can conquer anything she puts her mind to. She is capable of much more than she realizes. 

  "I can tell but you've got much more in you than you realize. You are capable of anything that you put your mind to." I tell her as we arrive at the first stop. I park the car before opening the door for Rose.
