"You're The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me" (Part 2)

Chapter 39

                                                                                 (George's POV)

  Last night was incredible. We got to talk to fans about the new album and enjoy our moments together. It's amazing how I can easily talk to fans like it's normal. I love the fans they make what I do worth it. Watching all the reactions today from the fans has been awesome. There is a lot that has gone on in the last few months and I honestly am so proud of everyone. We have come a long way in the past almost two years. I got married, made a new album with the band and my own solo album, and I also became closer to those around me after the pandemic that raged the world. It was a rough time but we made it through. Family means the world to me and it has grown with the addition of Amanda being my wife and her two best friends are family as well. A lot has happened but I wouldn't trade any of it. "Can you believe that we met almost two years ago?" Amanda asks me. She's been reading for the past hour on the couch. 

  "I cannot believe that it's been that long! And you remember what day we met? Like exactly?" I ask my beautiful wife. 

  Amanda nods, putting the book down on the coffee table. "July 9th, 2020." She answers. "At I think it was around noon that we bumped into each other and then I fainted." She explains. 

  "I remember you fainting. And then me checking on you because I was worried. It was the day before Finsbury." I say. "You fainted because you had just met us." 

  "I didn't expect to meet you at all so seeing you was insane. I still kind of feel like I'm in a dream even though I know its real. The fact that we're married is real. The fact that I'm pregnant is real.." She says, looking at me to see what my reaction is. 

  My face lights up. "Really? Really?" I ask. I wasn't expecting that news at all but I'm happy about it. 

  She nods. "Yeah really. I got a test a few days and took it. And then I went to the doctor to confirm. I'm pregnant George. We're having a baby!" She says. 

  I hug her and kiss her on the lips. "Why didn't you tell me you thought you were?" 

  She shrugs. "Because I didn't want to jinx anything. I wanted to be a hundred percent sure first. I don't want to tell Rose and them yet though." 

  "I think with everything going on with them we should keep it to ourselves." I state. "How far along are you?" 

  "I'm a few weeks along. I'm about three weeks in. I'm so excited." She admits. 

  "I'm excited as well. I'm also glad that you made sure that it's true before telling me." I say. "It's such exciting news! You sure you're ready for this?" 

  "You mean to be a mom? I don't think anyone is ready per say but I am ready to see what kind of mother I will make." She says, kissing me on the cheek. 

  "You will make a beautiful and wonderful mom." I state, pulling her close to me. "Do you think I'm going to make a good dad?" I ask.
