"You're The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me" (Part 2)

Chapter 2

                                                                                 (Destiny's POV)

  I cannot imagine what my best friend and Matty are going through. I know that they have had their uphill battles lately. Matty has been a wreck and Rose isn't talking much about anything. They are hanging out at Matty's house tonight to celebrate the fact that Rose is out of the hospital. I don't know how Rose is feeling but given the circumstances she has every right to be quiet and not so herself. 

  "Stop worrying." Adam tells me as we arrive at Matty's house. "She is recovering well otherwise she wouldn't have been able to come home." 

  I nod. "I know that. She is one of my best friends, I have a right to worry." I state. I worry about my friends a lot. I don't know how she is gonna cope with not being able to go travel for a month. I know she will love the alone time that she'll have with Matty. I can't imagine what is going through her head right now. 

  "I didn't say you couldn't worry." Adam gets out of the car to open the door for me. "I can't imagine what is going through their heads right now." 

  "I can't either. I just want her to be okay. I know she's always wanted kids so this must be super hard on her." I say, knocking on Matty's door. 

  Matty opens it with a drink in his hand. "Come in. Rose is currently in the bedroom resting." He says. 

  Adam hugs Matty. "How are you feeling?" He asks his best friend and bandmate. He genuinely cares about Matty which is an amazing thing. 

  "I am feeling alright. This is a very difficult situation." Matty states. "I don't know how to handle it. She is trying to be brave about it but I can tell that it is bothering her." 

  Adam and I come into the house. "She does that a lot, puts on a brave face even when she is struggling." I state, sitting on the floor next to Adam. 

  "Where are the others?" Adam asks. "Matty it is alright to feel like the world is crumbling. You are allowed to be upset." 

  Matty bites his lip. "I am being strong for her sake. I stayed at the hospital for three days while she was unconscious. I haven't been sleeping well to be honest. I don't know how she is handling it. She won't talk much to me about it." He explains. 

  "Fuck!" They hear Rose scream from the bedroom. "Matty come here please!" 

  Matty gets up to check on his girlfriend. Adam looks at me. "I hope she is okay." He says. 

  I squeeze his hand. "I hope so too. It doesn't sound like she is though." 

  George and Amanda show up to the house. "Is everything okay?" Amanda asks. 

  "Rose just screamed. Other than that yeah I guess. How are you two doing?" I ask my other best friend and George.
