'Oof!' Jenny crashed into a man in the hallway.
'It's you!' Jim exclaimed.
She gasped. I'm screwed. 'I didn't mean to I just had no where else to go!'
'Welcome back!' Jim gave her a one armed hug.
'Oh'
Well that was unexpected.
'You feel like a drink?'
'Actaully yeah.' I could do with forgetting certain things.
'They need me on the bridge for a moment, as I am the Captain.' He winked. 'But I'll be right back. Head to my quarters.'
'Which one is that again?'
'Captain's quarters just out from the bridge. You'll find it.' He strolled off.
She rolled her eyes but started heading there anyway. She arrived at the door to realise he hadn't given her the code.
Leaning her back against the door, she waited impatiently, glancing up and down the hall.
Jim finally appeared, hands in his pockets, a smirk on his face. 'Miss me?'
'Were you always a creep?' Jenny wondered aloud.
'Hey I'm no creep. I flirt a little when I see a beautiful woman, but I can stop if you don't want it.' He wiggled his thick eyebrows and she laughed.
'You're alright for now, not quite a creep yet.'
'Even if I did this?' He asked mischievously, leaning over her against the door.
'Definitely if you did that.' She retorted, pushing him off.
He laughed good-naturedly. 'I forgot Bones stole your heart.'
Jenny felt like time froze as her heart stopped. 'What?'
'You know. You and him. But you can move on, he has.' He shrugged.
Her mouth opened but no words came out.
'I'm always happy to help a lady on the rebound.'
'I'm not on the rebound.' She found her tongue.
'Ok ok' He held up his palms. 'Come in for a drink, and nothing more.'
'Nothing more.' She cautioned as he typed in his code and swung open the door.
'Out of interest, how did you get on my ship?' He asked over his shoulder as they walked in.
'Magic.'
'It wouldn't have anything to do with the transwarp beaming signal that was activated on..hmm when was it? The fourth?' Jim asked, his eyebrows raising.
'Would you believe me if I said no?'
'I'm not just a sexy face. I know what happens on my ship. But I'll let Scotty off for that one.'
Jenny sighed quietly in relief as he opened the fridge.
'You want a beer?'
'Got anything stronger?' She cast her arm across the couch lazily, sitting down.
'Wow you really do want to forget Bones.' He remarked, tossing her a beer anyway.
'There's nothing to forget.' She snapped before looking away guiltily. 'Sorry.'
'It's fine. So how come you're back? You know I can't have a Klingon general on my ship.' He twisted the top off his beer and plopped down next to her.
