YOU'RE EVERYTHING
THAT I SEE

As the early rays of the morning sun were streaming into the bedroom, the wispy curtains flowing freely from the open balcony doors, Millie stood before the full body trifold mirror which reflected the current state she had woken up in.

It was the first time in days that she was getting a good look at herself. In all that time, she had avoided her reflection as best as she could after she had seen herself within that first day. What she had seen then felt like the shell of who she was.

But even now, she wasn't truly herself.

Her eyes appeared to have no light left within them. Dark circles formed under her eyes, and she wasn't sure if that was from the shadows across her face or the heavy weight of the situation recently. The silk nightgown she wore loosely clung along her body, the material ending a few inches along her thighs.

Tilting her head quizzically, she noted that she was getting somewhere. This wasn't her worst.

The worst she had been was the first night.

That first night, she had completely fallen apart. There was no comfort to seek, because she felt that if she were to reach out so soon to Finn, things wouldn't go so good for either of them.

So she dealt with the thrashing and screaming on her own. She cried until the tears had dried up and there were no more left to release. She shouted until her throat was raw. She turned her entire bedroom into a hazard, tossing things around and creating a mess that matched herself well on the inside.

And Kelly kept away when she realized Millie could only feel her presence making things even worse.

Days later, there she stood at one edge of her bedroom, suddenly feeling the oxygen that entered her lungs. The sun felt warmer, brighter. Each step she took didn't feel so heavy.

The reason for the sudden shift that took place could only be one thing. Well, one person.

A soft smile tugged up at her lips as she covered her blissful face with her hands. She shook her head quickly, the previous thoughts vanishing as only Finn seemed to occupy the space in her mind.

She was still grieving her father. All that yearning had ultimately led up to nothing. Spending that dinner with Renaldo, Olivia, and her own mother had all been for nothing.

To see her dad again, to stay with him and away from this place for just a short while; it was all just a wishful dream that had vanished right before her eyes.
