I'M SO TIRED,
MAYBE I'LL JUST GIVE IN

There wasn't anything that either of them were actually prepared to see.

For instance, Finn hadn't expected to walk in past those gates and find a mansion that was probably even more extravagant than the Brown's. Everything was done in such a highly pristine way, yet differently from Millie's home.

Rose bushes surrounded either side of the brick driveway, another short wall separating the area. A large fountain was set right in the middle, a big show off to anybody who drove in. The mansion walls appeared as a freshly painted white and beige, numerous steps leading up to the front door.

The guy was showing off his money, but it had a more modern feel to it all. Finn didn't find it as amazing as the whole castle like vibes from the Brown's mansion.

So, yeah. They were pretty much going in with no idea of what to expect. But in the back of his mind, the first thing he expected to see was some typical rich asshole in a suit greeting them at the door.

Seeing Olivia was not at all what he expected from this night.

Her simple greeting shocked them, froze them in place. She appeared so nonchalant, flicking her gaze among them as she stood there, inviting them into the large space behind her. Completely unfazed, almost as if she had already been prepared to see them.

As Finn spared a glance towards Millie, it seemed that she hadn't been expecting to see the brunette either, despite the fact she had already been told that her mom's new boyfriend had a daughter her age. Apparently she didn't really give her much more information than that.

"Olivia?" Millie's eyes practically bulged out of her skull, the grip she had on Finn's hand tightening.

Olivia grinned widely, releasing her hold on the door as she grasped both of Millie's hands, causing her hold on Finn to slip away. "Oh my god, this is so cool! Your mom is dating my dad!" She tugged at her hands, a knowing look upon her. "That basically makes us sisters, you know."

An awkward laugh let out past Millie's lips. She wasn't sure how to respond to that because the idea of the two of them as sisters was ridiculous. How could she consider her a sister when they barely knew each other? How could Millie even see her that way when she felt that inkling drop of unease spreading further with each time Olivia was in her presence?

Millie glanced towards Finn, meeting his gaze for a split second before Olivia tugged her forward, leading her inside.

They barely took in the time to notice their surroundings. Expensive vases decorated certain corners they passed along, and there were large canvases of intricate paintings hung along the wall. With a high ceiling arching above them, Millie took notice that despite the obvious expensive taste, it was still something so different from her own home.
