I stared at Jesse, unable to blink in case he were to do something. My blades were still in my hands and sharpened. I would give him one chance to tell me everything before I rip his body to bloody shreds. And that would be a mercy in my book. "I am asking you one more time, Jesse. Why are you working for my grandmother?"

"I am not." he raised his voice. "Why do you think I am?"

I clenched my jaw and straightened. "I lied to you the first day we met. Your thoughts were loud and I couldn't stop myself." I paused. "But you're frightened and that is why I waited until now. Until we were here so no one could hear you."

Jesse leaned back in his chair. "Well, as I said before and I'll say again--you are King Sebastian's daughter. You are ruthless and dangerous because you always have to get your way." He smiled and it was an unpleasant one. "I never thought you would figure it out so soon."

"You are stupid." I said. "I was raised by the most powerful family in the world. Do you really think I wouldn't figure out you were my enemy before talking to you? Everything I said and did was all a game and you did not even realize you were playing." Some of it was a lie. There was a part of me that fell for it, for the flirtations and promises he made me. Now is not a good time to think about it.

He was about to stand up and my impulses took a hold of me. So I clenched one of my daggers and stuck it into his left hand, hitting bone and nerves. Jesse screamed out in pain and I tried to hide my smile because no one would hear him. I made sure of that. Blood gushed out of his hand and onto the old table. I watched as he was about to take the dagger out with his other hand so I stabbed him with my other weapon. Jesse was trapped and in pain.

"Will you tell me now?" I questioned, venom in my voice.

I held no emotion on my face as he looked into my eyes and pleaded for mercy. "If you must know," he ground out. "She came to me. Eva knew my relation to Thomas and how the Werewolves are allies with your family. She said if I didn't do what she asked, she would kill my sister. My mother. You know I wouldn't lie to you about that, Alli."

"So Eva told you to what? Flirt with me? Spy on me and my family to see what we are planning?" I raised a brow. "Did she tell you to take me to that swimming hole?"

Jesse bowed his head. "Yes." When I didn't say anything, he spoke again. "If you can read my thoughts, why are you making me tell you?"

I ignored him. "Enough. I have no reason to tell you anything. But you, I am imagining all the ways I could make you tell me what my grandmother is planning. And it seems that you are blocking those thoughts out."

"I don't know." he admitted. "Eva never told me."

"Stop lying!" I screamed, taking one of the daggers out of his hand and placed it on his neck. I could kill him within seconds and this will be all done with. Blood came out a little bit and I heard him take an uneven breath.

"I am telling you everything, Alli." he whispered. "Yes, she told me to do all those things because she threatened my family. Mine. I would expect you would know a lot about dangerous people threatening your family by now." He made me let my guard down. Within seconds, he twisted my wrist and pushed me until my face was against the wall. Jesse's muscular frame crushed me into the concrete that it was hard to breathe. "Princess, I do not want to hurt you. I have to do this and hopefully, when all of this ends, you will come back to me."

"I hope you rot in hell." I gritted my teeth.

He turned me around so our faces were almost touching. "Not until you meet me there. Then, I would happily rot if it means you will be right next to me."

I couldn't take it anymore. My sharp fangs elongated and bit into his neck as fast as I could. His blood tasted terrible but I did not care at the moment. I would do anything if it means he would hurt as I hurt. I pushed him back, realizing my eyes were turning a bright red. Like the fire in my hands. Jesse held onto his neck and winced. "You will be waiting a long time then."

Jesse pounced at me again, making me fall to the ground. My back grumbled in pain but I did not let it show. He was on top of me as he tilted his head and curled his lips into a smirk. He had my hands pinned to the ground and I tried to scramble out of his grasp, but I could not. I watched as he took out a small container filled with a clear liquid.

My eyes widened and I tried my best to keep him from making me drink it. Whatever it was. "This is what I like to call a way for you to be normal. At least, for a while. You see, it makes your very special powers go bye-bye. I am truly sorry for this..."

"Don't." I managed to say.

Jesse did not listen. He made me open my mouth and drink the liquid. Tears fell down my cheeks at a rapid speed as I felt my powers diminish slowly. It was a part of me and now I felt like I had nothing. No connection to my brother or family. I had nothing.

My whole body was numb and I couldn't do anything but close my eyes, darkness sweeping me up like I was not even supposed to be born in the first place.
