ARI GLANCES AT FELIX who's walking beside him in silence. He doesn't know what to say to him, especially after facing a different side of Felix that no other student in the House of Kings has ever seen.
The two ate lunch together since Ari was too dumbfounded to decline Felix's initial offer. He never thought that the quiet, innocent, and helpless serf like Felix would end up talking back to a gaffer like Ari with such fearlessness.
"You're purposely not ranking up aren't you?" Ari asks, finally saying something after keeping quiet for almost an hour. He glances at Felix again. The serf continues walking with his hands behind his back. He has an unreadable expression as he answers, "When you're placed too high, everyone can see you."
"So you'd rather be stepped on than be seen?" Ari asks, and Felix chuckles and answers back, "My invisibility is a weapon. The more they see you, the more venerable you will become."
Ari was surprised by such words because they made sense to him. He wanted to ask Felix more questions, but while they were walking, they saw Max walking in their opposite direction. Felix's expressionless face turns into a wide and cheerful smile the moment he saw Max. The sudden shift of personality made the hair on Ari's skin stand.
"Max! You're back!" Felix shouts enthusiastically, running towards Max who stopped on his heel when he saw them too.
Ari approaches him as well and tells him, "We just finished eating lunch. We're heading to our room now, how about you?"
Max takes a deep breath and looks at the two, "I'll just come with you."
The two nod their heads, and Felix gave Max some snacks to eat since he didn't eat his lunch. Max thanks him as they walk back to their rooms.
They traveled from the Keep to the Hall of Caelus where all the sophomore classes are found. When the three were only meters away from class II-A, the noise from their room could already be heard from where they were walking. At this point, Max isn't even surprised anymore.
"Is our class supposed to be this-" Max was supposed to finish the sentence with the word messy when the noise stopped all of a sudden, almost like the students in their room vanished.
"Sir Barron's probably back," Ari assumes, and the three of them approach their room.
They were expecting to see their homeroom teacher, but to their surprise, the man standing in front of the class was a white uniform, and not a teacher at all.
"Is this how you behave?" The white uniform asks, and the class just stares at him in silence. No one dared to say anything. His strong presence forced them to keep their mouth shut. "I understand that you're all fired up after taking your lunch, but isn't this an A-Class? Shouldn't you all at least manifest our great section?" He asks, and no one still dared to answer him.
Ari knocks on the door to grab the attention of the student standing in front. The white uniform turns his head to the left. He sees Max, Ari and Felix appear at the doorframe, and everyone shifts their attention to them.
"If you keep getting stressed out like that your hair's gonna turn as white as your uniform," Ari says, hinting to everyone that he isn't afraid of the white uniform who everyone seems to be terrified of.
"Aristotle Faulkner." The student calls out.
The side of Ari's mouth twitches upon hearing his full name, but he doesn't show his irritation as he answers back, "Gavriil Ivanovich Alexeev."
