THE SCHOOL BELL RINGS and the white uniforms hurriedly step out of their respective classrooms to head to the Great Hall so they could have their lunch.

Everyone was excited, playfully pushing each other and even laughing out loud as they walk down the hallway. Well, everyone except for one particular group who looked like they failed an exam and they now have to repeat a year.

Ari, who was awkwardly scratching the back of his head, glances at Max who has been quiet since earlier.

"Say something," he mouths at Ervin.

"Why me? You say something," Ervin then whispers back.

The two of them look back at Max, too afraid to say anything since Max looked like he wasn't in a good mood to joke around or even converse with them, but then Felix walks beside Max and finally speaks on everyone's behalf.

"So Max, what happened to you? Why'd you leave the party early last Saturday? Marcus and Hans were worried," Felix says, and Max finally snaps out of it and looks down at his friend who has a worried expression on his face.

"S-Sorry, I was just really tired that night so I went home," Max lies, but Felix doesn't even doubt it and nods his head in understanding.

"But is it true? Cj actually has a company of his own, and you're going to help find an investor for him?" Ari then asks since he's been dying to ask Max about it, especially when it was all over the news yesterday.

The news about Cj actually having a separate company made everyone speculate that he was no longer a part of the Mills family, and then it even got bigger when it was said that Max - a boy who doesn't have his inheritance anymore - was going to help him get investors.

People had mixed opinions about it. The general public pitied Cj and sided with Max, especially since Max is basically a public figure that they adore. While the other half couldn't stop voicing out how pathetic the two are, trying to act like adults when they're only just mere kids.

Nonetheless, the news was great publicity for Max and for Cj's company. Now a lot of people know about it, and this might make Max's job easier than they expected.

"It's true," Max answers. "Apparently his father took all his rights away. He practically stripped him off of the Mills title."

When they finally heard of Max's answer, Ari couldn't help but be surprised, even Ervin.

"He's something else then. To be able to juggle being a student, a brotherhood leader, and a CEO takes a lot of willpower. And with the count's attitude, he's very carefree too," Ervin says, and the others couldn't help but agree to it.

"Cj is carefree because he's confident. He knows when he can handle a certain situation, and at the same time, he knows when he needs someone's hand. They certainly were right when they said he isn't scared of anything," Max suddenly explains.

"Whoa, am I hearing this right? The great Maximilian Leigh Sinclaire is praising the same man who mercilessly beat him up before? The world has gone mad!" Ari jokingly says, finally making Max loosen up as he chuckles at the statement.

Felix sighs in relief after seeing Max smile, and the four of them finally head to the Great Hall with no worries.

As always, the four peculiar friends walk their way to the hall, instantly making the other students look at them. And as expected, it was because of the news regarding Cj. No one really knows the whole story, but the white uniforms are assuming that Max was already able to conquer Cigarettes too even though it's not the case.
