Chapter 11- The glowing Mountain

Location: 1. World (Oritsu/Kurayami), the Moon Mountain

The moon mountain impressed with its mightiness and with its mysterious atmosphere. You could literally feel that there was something magical, something gloomy about this place. It even was icy and icicles could be seen on the trees that they had just left behind. The companions stood in front of a huge entrance to the cave, which was covered with frost.

Kaito was freezing like never before in his life. 'Well, like almost never before ..'

"Let's just go in," suggested Shōkyū. Kaito eyed him suspiciously. Was he the killer? He still had the dream of Niretsu in his head. He could remember every single detail, that sheet there, that stain of blood ... Crazy.

"Let's go"

The group entered the cave. The further they went into the mountain, the darker it got. Kaito looked back once to see how far they had gone. Just a few steps ??? It had felt like a thousand meters! The day outside was suddenly dark, suddenly it was night. Billions of stars floated in the sky and a bright, bluish light caught Kaito from behind, whereupon Kaito looked back. Suddenly it was dark again. "What the hell .." he turned back towards the entrance, confused. Suddenly they had left kilometers behind them.

"Fuck, what's going on here", one soldier said who had discovered the same thing.

"Anyway, go on without turning back", Shōkyū ordered, strangely very self-confident, which earned him another critical look from Kaito.

Then a dull but incredibly extreme glow lit the cave passages. The light that had been locked in with the demon god and only appeared in the night .. What was it? Or was the light even the key itself?

There seemed to be no end in the mountain. This giant did not know time, a second could feel like years and a year like a second. Sometimes the team felt weak, and sometimes they burst with strength. Everything that was going on in this mountain was completely messed up. Or wasn't it by chance, and everything was deeply thinked over? You couldn't know ..

After hundreds of years in one second, the journey was suddenly over. Nobody had seen the end before, although everything was brightly lit. Was it the spiritual blindness of people or the insufficient senses of them, or the abstract of the mountain?

The caves were filled with questions and answers, but the answers could not be understood. Lack of competence or nonsense? The answers were mixed up, they didn't seem to make sense. Yet Kaito knew they were easier than any other answer. And he knew that he understood it, but still he didn't understand its meaning.

Suddenly the whole environment changed. The stone walls began to flicker and dissolve, then something else replaced them. Or had nothing changed but they had moved? Like looking out of the window of a car, watching the landscape go by. Was it the car that was moving or the landscape? Of course it was the car, you knew that. But still both thoughts existed, and in the case of the mountain there was nothing proven.

Kaito blinked his eyes, full of confusion. Then everything became clear, they were standing in front of a golden, gem-studded gate. In front of it was a living lion made out of stone decorated with blue runes.

He saw the companions. Then he slowly growled, no, he said:

"You are looking for something, but will you find it? Is your world the right one, or is it rather this one? Or is it the second? The third? The fourth? Who is the killer? Is it one of you? Or isn't it? Are you here at your goal? Or did you miss it? Does your mission make sense at all, or is it nonsense? Does the world have a purpose? So many questions and so many answers there are. Today you will only understand one. But for that you have to answer this riddle for me. What is the most used weapon, the sharpest weapon, the fastest weapon and the most violent weapon? The one that cuts everything, takes everything apart, the strongest weapon? A weapon that is so weak and fragile at the same time .. So diverse and yet not split ..? "
