Sorry for the late update! Jeez! I was kind of lacking inspiration for this chapter, I didn't really know where to take it (I also have soccer practice every single day and was WORN OUT)
You don't want to hear my excuses, just enjoy! And the next chapter is going to be REALLY ENJOYABLE! WOO!
Y / N
We woke up early in the morning, and I sat up rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.
"Good morning Y/n and Shoto, it's 4:15 a.m., and 83°F in Tokyo, Japan. It is going to be very sunny; so make sure to wear some sunscreen.
You asked me to remind you to stop by a small store on the way and pick up some snacks for the road."
"Thank you Oliver." Shoto rumbled, still trying to wake up fully.
I hummed and got out of bed, knowing I would be tempted to go back to sleep if I stayed under the warm blankets. I headed to the bathroom and started a shower, hopping in and beginning my morning routine.
Sho and I have created a very good working system for the mornings; every morning, we begin by waking to Oliver's special alarm and daily reminders. Then, either Shoto or I will take a shower (it alternates every other day), while the other heads to make breakfast for the two of us, or occasionally go out to pick up breakfast.
In the time that it would take to make or pick up breakfast, the other is usually out of the shower and dressed. We'll eat breakfast together, sometimes out on the balcony looking out over the city if the weather permits.
Then whoever made breakfast will go get ready themselves, and the other checks in with Dashi-Hero, as well as the Support Company; and usually calls the local police station to get a briefing of the recent villain-related incidents.
After we're both ready, on our way to Dashi-Hero, whoever called ahead will fill the other in during our commute.
But today, we aren't going to Dashi-Hero, but instead, Thrills & Chills, a famous theme park here in Japan. I'm really excited because I've never been to a theme park with Shoto before, in fact, I don't think he's ever been to one. I know he hasn't with me, and I doubt his father took him on family vacations.
I went to one with Tadashi when I was younger and he just got his driver's license. Our parents were always busy with the company and filling in at the hospital that they never got to take us on fun family trips, so when Tadashi passed his drivers exam, he filled in that family fun for the two of us.
But I haven't been to one since then, and the thrill of riding extreme roller coasters and rides while filling our mouths with funnel cakes, cotton candy, and overpriced water is making me giddy with anticipation.
I tied my shoes, being wise and wearing some that I know I will be comfortable in after walking on hot asphalt for hours as I travel from ride to ride.
It's still dark outside, the sun isn't due to rise for another hour or so, but even without the sun I could tell by the dim clouds that today will be simply beautiful.
We hopped into the car, him getting behind the wheel as he's taken a large liking to driving. He expertly backed out of the garage, putting the car in drive as we headed off.
We stopped by a small convenience store before getting on the expressway, so we'd be able to snack during our trip. The ride will only be a few hours, but getting snacks before any longer-than-normal trip is essential to setting yourself up for a good day; not to mention it's a perfect excuse to take a 'cheat' day and divulge into some sugary sweets.
