"Promise me!"
He hesitated, but sighed and nodded.
"Alright, I promise. But I also promise that we'll do everything we can to make sure that nothing will happen, okay?"
"Okay."

They rested in bed, holding each other, trying to comfort themselves after what they saw earlier that day. The image of the burnt teddy bear, ripped at its side with cotton spilling out, haunted her mind. Neither of them cried however, almost in too much shock to do so.
Villains were cruel yes, but more often than not, a villain was committing a crime because they felt like they had no choice. Like the group of young people in debt that Shoto stopped from robbing a bank, they were robbing the bank to try and support themselves, to pay for what they've lost and give them a chance at having a good life.
Robbery, thievery, and violence is never the answer, there are other more safe and valid ways that you can support yourself and your family without depending on crime. But usually these villains are driven by a feeling of hopelessness and hurt, a mental block that's driving their lives.
Which is what makes villainous groups like The Kings that much more terrifying.
Similar to the League of Villains, they were driven by motives and passion, an urge to kill and hurt. A psychoticness that ran through the veins of every one of them, a blind rage that led them to do very terrible things.
Like slitting the throat of Tadashi.
Villains like that can't be reasoned with. They can't be talked out of, or convinced to stop their terrorizing actions.
And sometimes the heroes that face them aren't strong enough to win.
So Y/n and Shoto now sit wondering.
"Am I strong enough?"

Last night, the question of the formula plagued my mind.
What on Earth are they planning to do?
I walked into the doors with Shoto, heading up to yet another meeting. They are starting to get on my nerves, it seems we never leave with good news, or any step closer to figuring out how we're going to handle this.
We have tons of information on The Kings, but it's obvious that each new piece of information doesn't fit into the larger puzzle.
The villains are good at misdirection, pointing us in one direction only to head to the other. Attacking a very peculiar place for the sole reason to confuse us and throw us off their trail; and it's working.
To us, every citizen of Japan is a person, a life, that we are in charge of protecting. If we fail at keeping these people safe, who are we to call ourselves heroes? Moyasu knows this.
Moyasu and The Kings view the citizens of Japan as pawns; leverage against us to succeed in getting what they want.
But what do they want?
