How many of you go back and re-read old chapters?
Sorry it's been a minute, I'm gonna try to have more regular updates coming up. There will for SURE be one next week, possibly even two.
Listen... don't be too mad. Please.
THE BAKUGOU RESIDENCE
Katsuki was chuckling at his partner and son while making dinner. Kirishima was throwing Kasai into the air, only to catch him again, causing a stream of laughter from the boy.
Katsuki sighed as he portioned the food onto plates and set them on the table, "Alright, dinner is ready!"
Kirishima carried the cheerful kid over to the table, setting him down as they began to eat the good food.
About halfway through the meal, Katsuki's phone began to ring. He set down his chopsticks as he pulled it out, taking a glance at the caller I.D. and groaning, "It's Deku."
Kirishima couldn't help but chuckle at his boyfriend's antics, "What do you want nerd? This better be good, I'm eating dinner."
Katsuki sat back in his chair listening, "Fine, but you owe me now." He said at last, hanging up and shoving the phone back in his pocket.
"A building collapsed earlier tonight. Nobody was in the building, but there's rubble blocking some of the streets. They need some extra help clearing the path enough for the construction equipment to go through and move all of it." Kirishima nodded, "Doesn't sound too bad, Uraraka will be there right?" Katsuki nodded, and shrugged, "I assume so if Deku is going."
"Daddy?" Both parents turned to him expectantly, "Why do you call Uncle Deku a nerd?" Kirishima laughed and Katsuki grinned, "Well, he is one."
Katsuki chuckled and turned to Kasai, "I used to hate him, actually. You see, he used to be quirkless, but he would act like he was stronger and better than everyone else, even though he didn't have a quirk. It was really infuriating. When we were younger I used to beat up on him for it a lot, I felt like he deserved it."
"Of course we made up when we got older, and we're on good terms now. But back in the day I hated him." He explained.
Kasai nodded, then stared at his food as he thought, "How do you know if someone is quirkless if they don't tell you?"
Kirishima raised his eyebrow curiously at the question, but Katsuki answered; "Well, Deku always tried to act like a hero, but he never actually followed up on his threats; because he couldn't. He also outright said that he was quirkless, which was stupid; most kids who are quirkless choose to keep it a secret."
Kasai tilted his head, "Why would they want to keep it a secret?" Katsuki chewed and swallowed, "Because they're weak. They stand out, they lack an awesome ability that the majority of people have; they get picked on because of it. Like how I picked on Uncle Deku. People who are quirkless simply don't fit in with society anymore; they're practically outsiders." Kasai's eyes widened and he looked down at his half-eaten plate, contemplating.
Kirishima sent Katsuki a glare, "Bu~ut, people who are quirkless find a way. I know a couple people who are quirkless, and they get through life fine!" Katsuki raised an eyebrow at Kirishima, who was still glaring at him.
After they finished dinner, they eventually tucked Kasai into bed; it was a school night so he needs some more rest. Kirishima and Katsuki were sitting on their bed, Kirishima was watching a TV drama, and Katsuki was looking at something on his phone.
