Eka Iyene's POV
They still stood before me saying nothing. "Is anyone not going to answer me?" I asked getting angry. Olanna turned to Edikan "Are you not going to tell her?" I turned to Edikan and he avoided my gaze. What had he done? He never avoids my gaze.
"I will tell her myself if you won't" Olanna said still looking at Edikan who said nothing. She turned to me "Please come sit Eka" "I don't need to sit down to hear or understand you Olanna. Speak" I told her sharply. I am angry. What were they hiding from me?
"Please Eka I need you to sit" she said looking sad. I took a look at her expression and mine softened. I took her hand and moved to a sit under the tree and we both sat down. Edikan was still standing but he had turned his back on us. What did he do that he couldn't face me?
Olanna took in sharp breath. "I don't know were to start Eka" "Start where ever you wish to start. I will understand" I said quickly but not harshly. She sighed. "I am a married woman Eka".
I looked at her my gaze running over her features looking for any sign of sickness "Of course you are a married woman Olanna. You are married to Edikan" I told her confused. What is she getting at? She shook her head "No Eka. I was a married woman." She said looking at me, her eyes glassy. "I was married before marrying Edikan"

Olanna told me everything that happened in her Kingdom. Her voice broke when she told me how her husband had rejected her before the entire village. Edikan's back was still facing us. He didn't turn nor utter a word as she spoke.
I had wished he would have turned and told me that it was all a lie. But he didn't, he didn't.
We all stayed in silence when Olanna finished her story. I was short of words. I had no idea. I was more sad that Edikan never confided in me when he came back home. He always told me everything or so I thought.
I saw Olanna touching her stomach in a tender manner. Wait. She touched it like... "Were you with child Olanna?"
That got Edikan's attention because he turned sharply but still not meeting my gaze. Olanna's glassy eyes dried up immediately and her face became stony and cold. "Not anymore" she said coldly. I haven't seen this side of Olanna before.
"Olanna, what did you do?" I asked holding her hand. She turned to me her eyes cold "He would have being a bastard if I didn't do it Eka" she smiled but it wasn't a warm smile. "But he wouldn't be anymore now that he is dead" she said as she got up and left.
Edikan was still looking at the empty seat Olanna was sitting just few moments ago. I take it that he had no idea.
I didn't even know I was crying until my vision got blurry. Poor girl. If I feel so much pain that my child was taken away from me. Then how much pain would she be feeling for taking away her child herself?
Edikan's POV
Flashback
"The wedding has being postponed till the next four days" King Anayo said as he sipped his wine on his throne without even glancing at me. "If you plan on sneaking your daughter away from the palace in the middle of the night it won't work" I said in a monotone voice. He just ignored me and continued sipping his wine. "What is the reason for postponing this marriage?" I asked. He sighed like he was tired " I have no idea. Olanna asked me to" "And you accepted without asking for reasons?" At this point I was trying to control my temper. "Look here young man" King Edikan boomed sitting up. " You might have paid her bride price, but as long as you both have not being joined in union she is still under my rules. And you young man are on my land. My land my rules" he said.
