"𝖨𝗧'𝗦 𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗔. . ."

The next school morning, the usual three girls were walking to school. This time, it seemed as if Missy was in a little world of her own, making it a change from Nas the previous week.
"Missy!" Elle nudged the girl's shoulder, who seemed to be in a daydream of some sort.
"Can't you hear how many times we've been calling you?" Nas nudged the other side of her, awaiting to tell her the gossip. "Lila hasn't texted me since Friday, so I don't know whether to text or play it cool, you know?"
"And Cory's like a changed man overnight, is that something to be suspicious about?" Elle added on to the ongoing event's of both the girl's love lives. "Like, how long is the loving, committing boyfriend act on for?"
"Missy!" Nas repeated, nudging the taller girl's arm slightly. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah." The blonde haired girl said with not much emotion at all, stiffly nodding her head.
"Right." Elle said, not convinced at all as she and Nasreen shared concerned looks with each other, as they walked into the school gates together.
"Think now's your time to go." The darker haired girl said, giving Elle a faint smile, as she pointed at Cory, Jacob and Riz. "Don't worry about her, I'll get through to her." She reassured her, gesturing towards Missy.
It was rare to see the gobby teenager in such an emotionless state, although the two girls could read her like a book. They knew there was something wrong and they were going to get to the bottom of it.
"Good morning to you an all." Cory said sarcastically, noticing the slight dampen on Elle's mood, as he wrapped an arm around the smaller girl. "What's wrong with your face?"
"Missing you, aren't I?" She forced a smile, greeting Cory with a kiss on the cheek. This making the other two boys fake gag. "You three all made up then?"
"Well, you two definitely are." Riz chuckled at the pair. "If this is what it's like every morning then I'm not to be seen with you two. Lovebirds."
"Let them be." Jacob shook his head. "As you often like to remind us, you can't stay mad at your best friends forever. You three are a great example."
"Suppose we learn from the best." Cory smiled, happy as ever, tightening his grip around the smaller girl. "Ain't that right?" As Elle's cheeks flushed a shade of red.
"Don't go all soppy on her, she hates it." Her older brother chuckled, looking at the pair who he had been routing for since day one. "Don't you, Ell?"
"Look at her, she's getting all embarrassed." Riz pointed out her rosy cheeks. "You're about as red as a tomato."
"No shit, Sherlock." She shook her head, feeling the heat off of her cheeks. "I guess Cory just has that effect on me."
