"Shut up, Jordan." Cory sighed, clearly not interested in anything his brother had to say to stop the argument. "I'm being serious, what happened to us telling each other everything?"

"You two have got enough going on, I didn't want to add to that." Elle huffed, with her point being more than valid. "I'll be okay, Riz and Jacob have been there and it's really helped."

"And you won't even let your own boyfriend in there, that's no surprise there." Cory shook his head. "Is there something on between you and Riz now? Seeing as there is a past with you two."

"That was one sided and nothing ever happened, you're being ridiculous." She sighed, knowing it was going to be a hard thing to come back from. "Maybe I wish I had went for him, he's minted and he actually cares."

"You don't mean that." Jordan's eyes about popped out his head at her comment. "Nout wrong with council estate and ignorant."

"Shut up." The younger teenager was once hushed again, to allow the shouting match to break out once again.

"If he's all that, then go for it." The older Wilson had the final word as he turned away, taking Jordan swiftly to walk away next to him.

Admitting defeat, Elle took a slow stroll in the opposite direction, deciding what to do next and fast.

"What are you doing back here?" Gabby scoffed as she opened the door to find Elle and her belongings on the door step. "The boyfriend had enough of you?"

"Shift over, I was here long before you." Elle barged past the girl who didn't look best pleased, before she was met in the hallway by her father.

"Ells?! What are you doing back?" Neil questioned in disbelief, pulling his daughter into a big hug.

"I've missed you." She said, lying through her teeth. Of course she missed the way he used to be but there was a million more reasons as to why she was back. "Maybe give this whole 'family' thing a go, eh?"

"Someone's clearly after something." Gabby butted in before heading up the stairs.

"I told you, you'd come around." He cheered as Elle forced a wide grin to make it more bearable. "So, what have I missed? What have we missed?"

"Mum's back in Ackley. that's what you've missed." His daughter dropped the bombshell which was certainly the most unexpected. "Broke up with that mystery man and all over me and J like she'd never left."

"What? I don't understand." Neil furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "When was this and why did neither of you tell me?"

"You're happy enough with Carla or so you like to think." She shrugged, not really knowing why. "I didn't want to crush you like that."

"It's just a lot to take in, isn't it?" He sighed.

"But you don't have to worry, she won't come anywhere near here." Elle tried her hardest to reassure her dad. "The main thing is we stick together, yeah?"

"The main thing is that you're back at home where you belong." Her dad said before pulling her into another hug.
