"Oh my god are you okay?!? I heard what happened!" Said Carly looking very concerned. My mom drove me to school that morning and I met up with Carly at the entrance.
"Yeah, I'm okay now. Just a headache." I said, trying to calm her down.
"Well this guy busted the assholes that hit you with a football. He went to the office and told on them." My heart started singing as Carly brought up Mason again, I couldn't help but smile. He just keeps getting better and better every time I hear his name.
"Oh. You mean Mason?..." I trailed off in the middle of my sentence because I couldn't stop smiling.
"Uh-Oh. Paige... You got that look on your face... That's your CRUSH face! You like him!" Carly squealed.
"I dunno... He's just cute." I said.
"Oooh, can't wait to meet him." A voice came out of nowhere and made us jump. I turned around to slap Jess in the arm for scaring us, she had a tendency to do that.
We walked in and I got a few glances at my head as I walked to my locker. I tried to cover the bandage with my long blonde hair, but it was no use.
I catch a glimpse of a tall guy walking towards my locker while I was standing there, his blonde hair shining in the morning sun.
"Hey Mason!" I said with a big smile.
"Hey! How's your head?" He asked, returning the smile. There's no way I can compete with him on that.
"Still hurts."
"It will get better."
"I hope so!"
"Hey... Um... Do you like... Wanna..." Mason's cheeks started to change color and he started to stutter.
"I was just wondering if you wanted to... Hang out at lunch or someth-"
"Of course I do!" I said a bit too loud, interrupting him, my face started to change color too.
"Really!... I mean, okay cool. See you later beautiful.... Wait why did I say that?!? Wow sorry that came out of nowhere... Wow is it hot in here?" He chuckled his cute little chuckle.
It was so cute to watch him struggle with his words. He called me beautiful! No boy had ever said anything like that to me before!
"That's okay! Thank you. Okay I gotta go. Bye Mason!" I walked away squealing into the textbook I was holding.

It felt like forever until lunch came. I waited at my table for Mason to get there. I was constantly fidgeting with my hair until he sat down.
"Okay... So tell me about yourself." I said. I was so desperate to get to know him better.
We talked and laughed with each other until lunch was over. He told me that he moved to New York after his Aunt got a job somewhere in Long Island. It was weird when he brought up where he came from he would start it off by saying, "Af- uh wait no... Michigan!" I ignored it though. I told him about my love for animals and how I wanted to become a vet. His eyes lit up the whole time I talked to him.
By the end of lunch, I'm pretty sure I laughed at Mason about thirty times. He had such a great sense of humor, another thing to add to how perfect he is.
"You know... You're very pretty." He said with a huge smile as he ran his hands through his spiked up hair, giving me a look that I couldn't bear to look at without my heart thumping out of my chest.
"Thank you!" I said with a red face, "you're not so bad yourself." I laughed, that wasn't even the beginning of how gorgeous he was.
"I think we should go somewhere. I'm gonna take you down to the shore tonight... I feel like that's where we should go. I just think that you're skin would glow so beautifully under the sunset." He said, giving me the look again. I couldn't take it anymore, I was going to explode in a few seconds.
"Awww stop it! I'm getting so red!" I said with a huge smile, nobody had ever made me feel so good about myself.
"Tonight at six? Before the sun sets? I will pick you up." He gave me a small pouty face.
"Of course!" I said. My insides were screaming with joy as lunch ended and I went through the rest of the day.
