"I heard you screaming from my room, are you alright?" Stella and James ran into my room, looking rather worried. Mason was rubbing my back as I sat on the floor, panting. Lilly sat beside me, watching over me to make sure i wasn't hurt. I managed to fall off the bed while I was having my nightmares again.
"I'm so sorry. I have nightmares and I go a little crazy." I managed to say in panicked breaths.
"It's alright sweetheart, no need to apologize." Stella said softly. Her puffy eyes and messy hair made her look just like Mason in the morning.
"Well, thanks for waking us up. We gotta go to work, and I don't think I would've gotten myself up too well." James chuckled. Him and Stella walked back to their rooms and left Mason and I alone.
"Are you gonna be alright?" He asked me as he helped me back onto the bed. I crossed my legs and faced him as he laid back down.
"Yeah I'm fine." I lied. I just saw a man that I could not trust, but I didn't even know where he was or what he was capable of. My thoughts churned my insides at the possibilities of what could go wrong. But what did this all have to do with tomato plants?
"You okay?" Mason asked, pulling me out of my mind.
"Yeah, just a bit tired." I answered quickly. I let my head fall on his chest, and he supported my back with his arm. I lied again. I was nowhere near ready to sleep again.
"You wanna go get breakfast at this little restaurant? It's amazing. Unless you wanna sleep more than that's fine."
I looked up from his chest to look into his eyes. He smiled at me, which made my insides bubble.
I sat up and put one leg on either side of him. I let my wild hair dangle freely as he put his hands a little lower than usual.
"Breakfast would be amazing." I answered, biting my lip. His eyes all of a sudden go really wide, and I slap my forehead mentally at what I realized that just sounded like.
"Oh my god I didn't mean it like that!" I laughed. He laughed with me. I moved my face closer to his and I pressed my lips against his for a deep kiss.
I thought I would never get enough of this boy, I wanted more of him by the second. Our kiss got deeper and deeper, and it became super hard to keep in my emotions. Eventually I had to stop because it became painful.
"You're cute when you're clingy." He said as I let my head fall on his chest again. I smiled.
My mind suddenly reminded me of my rumbling tummy and salty hair, so I sat up and proceeded to get off of Mason.
"Where are you going?" He whined. His hands held tighter to me.
"I'm going to get ready," I said with a cocked eyebrow, "Can I go?"
"No," He said, dragging out the o like a toddler, "I wanna hold you." He held me tighter and dug his face into the crook of my neck. I was pulled back onto him, this time more tightly. I struggled to get away as he whined on my shoulder, I was secretly loving it, but I really needed to take a shower.
"Mason, I am positive that you are at least 50% child," I laughed, "Now let me go!"
He released me with a grumble and plopped his face back on the bed to wait for me.

------

After I popped my head out of the bathroom door to see Mason still laying on the bed, I walked across the room with my towel around me and gripped my suitcase under the bed. I heaved it off the floor and placed it on top of my comforter, the thud made Mason spring up from his napping position. He looked at me with narrow, sleepy eyes and ran his hand through his messy hair, giving me a small grin.
"Good morning, again." I said as I flung an outfit out of my suitcase. He answered with a small chuckle as he stretched to get up.
"Go get some gel in that hair, sleepy." I laughed as I pushed him out the door so I could change. I slipped on a tank top and shorts and ran a brush through my knotted hair, which still smelled like sea salt. I had just finished lacing my sneakers when Mason stomped through my door with freshly rinsed hair, cussing to himself.
"What's wrong?"
"I'm out of hair gel." He groaned. He held out his hand to reveal an empty black tube that smelled like his hair. I quickly reacted and snatched the tube from his hand. I could still see tiny clumps of gel on the bottom.
"No you're not." I stated as I quickly gave him a kiss on the cheek. I waved my hand over the tube and the tiny clumps soon grew to fill the tube again. I handed him back the tube, I laughed at his wide eyes as he stared down at the hair gel. He looked at me with his gorgeous smile and leaned in to peck my lips.
"I love you." He said as he pulled away.
"You're welcome." I answered back.
He stepped in front of my mirror and dried and gelled his hair. When he was satisfied, we walked out to the living room and out the door to get breakfast.
As we walked through the busy morning streets, I couldn't help but scan through the faces to see if they matched the description of the man I saw in my dream. It was killing me to think of what this person might do, and I was curious as to why tomatoes came into the situation.
While walking along the street, I heard a sudden scream, making me jump out of my shoes. The faces around me turned frantic as the scream rang through everybody's ears. Mason and I fast walked through the people, towards the scream. We were stopped suddenly by hands on our shoulders. We twisted our bodies to face the frightened faces of James and Stella.
"There's been an attack! A dog got loose! It's somewhere in the city!" Stella shouted. Her fast talking showed how panicked she was, "Someone is dead!"
I almost choked when I heard her. It was horrifying the last time I saw dead bodies, I wasn't prepared to see any more.
"Come quick!" She yelled, gesturing us to follow her. We ran behind her through the sea of frantic people, I could hear James behind me talking to people as we went along, "calm down. It's alright. No need to worry."
We reached a small wood house. You could feel the sadness pouring out of its windows. Stella burst through the door, with us close behind.
I completely froze, I stopped breathing. You would have thought there was a cardboard cut out replacing me. In that small house lay a few broken chairs, holes in the walls, and and many other brutal sights. There was a still, dead, bloody woman on the floor in front of my feet, and kneeling on the floor next to her was the man. The man I had seen in my dream. His pale face was stained with tears, and standing next to him was a short, blonde girl with light blue eyes and even more tears than he had. I recognized her as Lindy, the sick girl I rescued for the crying couple on the bench. The couple was now on the floor, one crying and one dead.
