Misaki woke up in the warmth of dawn. She blushed fiercely at the memory of last night and grabbed her clothes. Before he wakes up... She noticed the warm emptiness of her wrist and smiled at the thrown away handcuffs on the ground. He took them off. He trusts me enough not to leave. Why wouldn't he? Even I wouldn't leave him like this, it would be like a 'one night stand' as they used to call it. She slipped on her wrinkled clothes and crawled out of the cave, stretching, then sitting down in front of the cave to watch the sunrise. Misaki closed her eyes and focused her senses. The warmth of the sunrise was nothing compared to the warmth of the night, but Misaki still smiled at it. She breathed in the morning dew smell and listened to the quiet chirps of the birds. Then there was shuffling inside the cave and Misaki turned to find half dressed Roku behind her. His big arms wrapped around her and he kissed the back of her neck. "You okay?" Misaki blushed and nodded. He pulled Misaki closer and nuzzled her neck. They spent hours cuddling with each other until the afternoon arrived and they set out to hunt. But after their hands touched when they were grabbing the tools, they kissed again and spent the next hour cuddling on the ground. "Roku, this isn't working." He nuzzled her and wrapped his arms around her body as they sat together on the ground. "What isn't working?" "This hunting trip. When we come back, people are going to be expecting actual food, but at this rate, we're going to return empty handed." Roku paused. "I guess that's true... We can't forget about the cave's food. So what do you suppose we do?" "Well, we obviously can't focus with each other around, so why don't we split up?" He groaned and pulled Misaki closer. "It'll just be for a bit, until we gather enough food. Okay?" "Then we can cuddle again?" Misaki blushed and nodded. Roku stood up and let Misaki go. "You go that way and I'll go this way. Gather as much as you can in the least amount of time. Don't go too far away. Stay where I can smell you." "You too." Misaki stood and walked in the opposite direction. She smiled and hummed as she dunked a fish net into a small river. Just as she caught one fish, she heard a stick break a few yards away from her. She let go of the fish and shot up to her feet. She searched the area behind her and breathed in. There was definitely somebody there. The person didn't have Roku's smell, they smelled of gun powder. Everything went silent. I have to get to Roku. Then Misaki broke into a sprint in Roku's direction and immediately, she heard loud footsteps running after her. Then the same fish net she had used covered the air in front of her and she tripped, becoming entangled in the big net. I-i'm trapped!! She tried to find her way out, but big hands were already grabbing the ends of the net. She turned to Roku's direction. "Roku!! Roku!!! Roku!!" She immediately sensed his smell coming closer rapidly, but it was too late. Misaki was stuffed into a large thick bag that smelled of dirt and knocked out. Everything went black.

Misaki's eyes shot open when she woke and she immediately pulled herself onto her feet. She frantically looked around and analyzed her surroundings. She was in a dark, small tent. I...I was kidnapped. I have to escape. There's nobody here. But then the tent flap opened and somebody walked in and froze at the sight of Misaki. He held up a lantern and turned it on. As it illuminated the room, Misaki's eyes widened. The man was about as tall as Roku, although a bit younger and more close to Misaki's age. He had black wavy hair that sat on the top of his head, the sides of his head being trimmed shorter. He had a muscular face and body that were obvious under the gray muscle shirt he was wearing and the camouflage pants   with big black heavy boots. He was more dark skinned than Roku was and had black stubble around his chin that reminded Misaki of Mike. But what surprised Misaki most of all is that his eyes were a dark shade of brown and had nothing else. No wings. No claws. No strange markings. Misaki gasped. He's human. Human! He looked just as surprised as Misaki was, just a bit less. Wait a minute. Misaki, this guy kidnapped you. Literally. You can't trust him just because he's human. He stepped closer and the lantern blinded Misaki. "You're human." His voice was deep for someone so young. Misaki nodded, still being blinded and trying to adjust her vision. Then his face appeared much closer and Misaki jumped as his cold lips crashed against hers. He pushed Misaki's head closer to his and pushed the kiss deeper. Anger rose in Misaki's heart and she violently bit at his lip. He flinched back, only to receive a painful punch to his cheek. He stumbled and fell to the floor, Misaki straddled him and swung her first across his face a second time. The third time, he grabbed her fist and rolled over, pinning her to the ground. She sneered at him and struggled to get out of his grasp as he wiped away the blood from his lip. "What the fuck was that for!? Why'd you attack me!?" "Why'd you kiss me!?" "You're the only human I've seen that isn't fatally injured! We have to reproduce!" "Repro--!?" "Reproduce." "You're an idiot." "We have to reproduce." Misaki glared at him and smiled. "Well you just ran out of luck. Because you just captured a woman who can only have one child." He paused. "One?" "One." "Well, even if it's just one--" "You bastard!! Get the fuck off of me!!" He's just human, I've fought vampires and demons, I can take him off! Misaki managed to free her left leg, and before he could grab it, she kicked him in the groin and he was on the ground. Misaki used all of her body weight to keep him down as she swung her fist against his face again. He grabbed Misaki's face and pushed her off to the side, shoving her face into the dirt. "Stop attacking me!! Just stay still!!" "Stay still!? You just kidnapped me and you expect me stay still!?" "Kidnap!? I don't care how my friends took you from wherever you were, you're human and it was important that we meet!" "Important my ass! Let me go! No way in hell am I reproducing with you!!" His fingers entangled in Misaki's ponytail and pulled her head up from the ground. "Listen here, we don't have a choice! Do you think that I would want to do any reproducing with a woman like you!?" Then his hands slipped to Misaki's neck and she jumped as she felt her necklace being pulled. "Gold?" She struggled under him. "Stop!! Let that go!!!" His body weight was too heavy for Misaki to push off. There was a slight click as the necklace was taken off. Misaki twisted her neck and glared at the man on top of her. The golden necklace shined brilliantly in his hand as he examined it. "This is gold. Where did you get it?" "Give that back!! It's mine!!" Her neck felt cold and empty without the warmth the necklace caused her skin. He glared down at her and smiled. He shoved the golden necklace in his pocket and came closer to Misaki's face. "If you don't obey me, I'll break it." Misaki's heart ran cold and she froze as tears gushed out of her eyes and hit the dirt. "This flimsy necklace is important to you isn't it? If you don't want to see it broken, you will do everything I tell you to. Understand?" Dammit!!! Damn him!! M-my necklace.. Misaki nodded her head on the ground. The man climbed off of Misaki and grabbed her muddy chin. "If you attack me again, you won't see your necklace again." He pulled her up to her feet and threw her towards the exit. "Now go clean your filthy body in the lake." Misaki gulped. She walked outside and shivered at the cold air hitting her skin. I can't leave without the necklace. I have to do what he says. She looked around the area and spotted the lake the man had been talking about. It had a cold layer of ice floating on top of the surface. It's frozen! He expects me to bathe in it!? She heard the man come out of the tent and she glared at him. "Do you want me to get hypothermia idiot!?" His eyes became cold as he rubbed his now swollen cheek and he walked closer. His large hand gripped Misaki's upper arm and he pulled her to the lake. Shit. This is going to be cold. Misaki braced herself, but she jumped at the sudden warmth she felt in her lower abdomen. "Wait. Wait! S-something.." Misaki's hearing blocked as she heard a faint sound of something beating in warmth. Her heart beated along strongly with it. The second beat was like hers, only smaller, and much more frail. But then Misaki was shoved into the lake and she gasped at the cold shock of the icy water. The tiny beating stopped and her abdomen froze solid in pain. She crawled out of the icy water hurriedly and gasped for air on the cold wet ground. Something happened. What was that? M-my abdomen is cold. Then the smell came to her nose. Her eyes widened. Roku. That's Roku's smell. He's close. Roku!! She shot up to her feet but her wet shirt was grabbed and she was being pulled back to the tent. Wait!! Roku!!! Roku!!!!
