Jungkook paced around, impatiently waiting for the boys' to return. He was worried that not only the boys were in danger, but also Y/n. He wanted all of them to be safe.
He was helpless though, he wanted to run to them and bring them back on his own but he had to wait. He had no other choice.
He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw seven figures walking in his direction. Leaning against the tree, he looked upwards and thanked whoever was looking out for them.
"Ah thank god you're safe Jungkook," Namjoon said as soon as the group approached him and Jungkook hugged the elder wordlessly.
Namjoon hyung was his safe haven, his warm, comforting brotherly hugs managed to always calm him down.
The rest looked at the duo with a small smile on their faces, Namjoon seemed to have that effect of calm on everyone of them. They were glad everyone was safe.
Y/n cleared her throat, causing Jungkook to look at her and Namjoon walking back to where the other boys were standing.
"There's something I need to tell you," she said, her voice low and the boys' mood changed immediately.
"Our mission needs to be completed earlier than we thought," she said, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Seth is holding a celebratory feast on November 21st."
"But that's one month from now!" Jungkook exclaimed, "don't we have any other chance?"
"No we won't," she replied grimly. "he is getting married to Princess Catherine of the neighbouring country, which will only strengthen his power because he gains the military control. The wedding is the day after the feast and Princess Catherine will be here on 20th November. There will be a lot of people, we won't be able to touch him after he gets married."
"Damn it," Jungkook punched the tree, pain shooting through his knuckles but he didn't care. "we were so close."
Needless to say, they went back to the house with solemn expressions. They sat down in a circle in the middle of the training ground, the evening breeze taking away the hotness of the afternoon.
"With proper planning, can't we attack?" Yoongi asked.
"We only get a few hours in the early morning, before all the guests arrive." Jin replied. "It's not possible that we go unnoticed."
"But Yoongi is right," Y/n said, "we can still plan this attack. But the constant pressure of time will make it difficult."
"How?" Jimin asked, "we just need to assassinate King Seth and allow Prince Ali to claim the throne right?"
"It's not that simple--" Y/n started but got interrupted by Jungkook.
"It actually is," he said, making all of them look at him. "it is only difficult if we execute the mission in the morning, but what if we start from the day before it?"
"How do you think we'll sneak in?" She asked.
"We can fake it," He said, smiling in a mischievous way. "What if you become the fake princess Catherine?
Y/n raised an eyebrow, the idea was not bad. But it was risky. "Wouldn't Seth know how Princess Catherine looks like? Besides what if the real princess comes in? That means a guaranteed death."
"I'm not sure about the first question, but as far as I remember, Princess Catherine was close to Prince Ali before he disappeared sixteen years ago. If he can contact her somehow, we can make this work."
"This is a risky plan, but our best bet." Hoseok said.
"How did you know Princess Catherine and Prince Ali were close?" Y/n asked, cutting through the murmurs of agreement. Her eyes pierced through Jungkook's as he thought of a reasonable explanation.
