Chapter 22

Chaeyoung woke up feeling a whole universe is on top of her. She opened her eyes as the sun strikes her vision, blinding her. She was met by a muffled hair that is far from the smell of her daughter's. She moves the strands on the face as an angelic face shown with the absence of the usual cold aura. Mina was almost on top of her, her head burried on the crook of Chaeyoung's neck, arm draped on her waist and their legs interlocking with one another. Shae was on Chaeyoung, her head on her chest, her body is literally on top of Chaeyoung, her small arms and legs hugging Mina's frame. A good metaphor of the whole universe, her universe are on top of her.

She carefully untangles the three of them, transferring Shae like a bomb, gently carrying her in one arm as if with a wrong move she'll explode, placing her on the big space untaken. She carefully lift Mina's head off her arms which she can't feel due to numbness. For a moment she thought how flowery and bountiful this morning could be, two angels have greeted her sight, taking away all the pain that burried in her heart. She thought about Somi, having this time with her, would it be more perfect than this? She let go of the thought when Mina moved a little and unconsciously wrap her arms on the tiny figure beside her. Chaeyoung take this an oppurtunity to capture it with her phone with the thought of how would it feel to have someone like this every morning.

She went down the kitchen, its quarter to eight in the morning. She decided to prepare breakfast for all of them to give appreciation to Mina and everyone who have been there the moment she stepped in broken in their home. She made rainbow pancakes, french toast, bacon and eggs and rice rolls. Clashing of utensils and kitchen equipment echoes the massive kitchen, servants were in shock that a lot of dishes are already prepared waiting for it to be served.

"Excuse me Lady Son, but we are tasked to prepare mac and cheese and fried chicken for this morning by Madame." A servant said informing the sudden lost cub.

"Oh, Im sorry. I just wanna pre-" she was cut off when Mina entered the kitchen with her white night gown, making her diamond among stones. She gracefully walk towards them making them gulp in her cold aura.

Chaeyoung thought that she's back at it again. The Mina at night was long gone.

"Leave and serve whatever she prepared" Mina said referring to the maids who robotically moved the moment her last word came out. Mina then walk away from the kitchen, her tiptoes sounds walking to the living room, sitting on the couch, she opened a book and was lost on the words, sentences and pages again.

Chaeyoung was left there as if she wasn't even there. She was in a mood to have a productive day and spend every second with her daughter with vibrance. A silly thought runs on her mind as she went to where Mina is and decided to tease her about yesterday.

"Myoui." She said as she flops herself on the couch making the latter on the other end look her way with bullets in her stares.

"Is Mina last night gone now" Chaeyoung teasingly said while poking Mina's arms. Mina flinched on the contact, weirded out of the seratonin this girl is having.

"I prepared breakfast for you" Chaeyoung said scooting closer to Mina visible teasing was on her voice. Mina ignored her and tried to focus on her book again. But words are literally hard to read when the idiot keeps staring at her for no reasons.

Chaeyoung was feeling impatient that Mina takes so long to acknowledge her presence. So she grabbed her book and ran away. Mina as a reflex ran after her.

"Son Chaeyoung give it back!" She screamed on top of her lungs. Chaeyoung was just hestirically laughing like she's mad joker.

"Yah! I haven't got the page where I am reading idiot!" Mina keep yelling. The whole house was turned into a playground for a second, two grown ups feeling like kids running around. Chaeyoung stopped at a dead end. Mina as well made a halt and catch her breath. When stable air has placed on their lungs Mina has a smirk while moving forward trapping Chaeyoung.
