Chapter 34

Silence is still the only noise heard from the eight girls who are still in a circle.

"Let's head out Chaeng, they're gonna prepare the courtroom for another session" Jihyo piped up, making everyone move out.

Nayeon linked arms with Chaeyoung's right arm and on Chaeyoung's left side was Jeongyeon, side hugging their adoptive daughter. The other girls are just tailing behind.

"Excuse me Ms. Son," Attorney Kim Yerim, Attorney Bae Johyoon's support earlier, blocked their path. She is holding a brown envelope, containing Shae's settlement. "The court have approved about Ms. Shaeron Eclisse's custody and I have come to inform you that the court will personally pick her up from your house later at 6:00 p.m." She explained, handing out the envelope to Chaeyoung.

Chaeyoung stared at her as if she was just an air, undeserving to have an attention. She didn't have any plans on taking it and as well as just give her daughter away.

"Ms. Son, the court has already decided. You don't want to go against it or else you'll get arrested." Attorney Kim explained in the most cordial way, not having any intentions on triggering the latter.

Chaeyoung didn't budge on this and remained on her straight face. Jihyo who is sensing that this Attorney is doing her best to approach them without hitting a nerve, accepted the brown envelope and lets out a small gratitude.

Chaeyoung passed by the lawyer, not even bothering to leave a single word. She went first inside her car, waiting for the others to go inside.

"We'll talk about this at home Son." Tzuyu said as she settles inside the van. Chaeyoung just gave her a nod as a reply and just looked outside the window, wishing that this was all a nightmare that she can just wake up from.

The van had zoomed out from the court. The van had banished in an orange gleam of the surrounding, signifying that the sun have come to set, ending her shine to let the moon and the stars have its turn.

They arrived inside the mansion, hearing voices of cartoon characters from the t.v. in the living room. They all followed the source of the sound and found a sleeping Shae in Mina's arms as she rocks her.

Mina looked up to all her friends, seeing all of them in their worst state. Nayeon requested Wendy and Joy to bring Shae up in her room so they could talk about everything.

"We're talking inside my office" Chaeyoung said with an extreme sadness hangs on her voice. She walked there first, as the other shared a look.

Mina quickly picked up from this matter, that it could possibly be because the custody settlement on Shae didn't favored their side. Coldness taken her aura the moment she inferred that it could be it, she expected that the collaboration of the two most prominent lawyers in the world, will make Chaeyoung win this.

"I'll just follow" Mina blankly said as she went to Chaeyoung's front porch.

She dialed Jisoo's number and in a single ring its already picked up.

"I know Sharon, I'm sorry" Jisoo quickly uttered, scared for her life.

"Jisoo Unnie, You know we have a very good friendship" Mina coldly reply, "But this is the only thing I don't want you to fail" She said as venom ran through her voice that made Jisoo choked on the other line.

"Ye-yes" Jisoo stuttered, " I won't let you down on this. Park Chaeyoung and I are still studying the judge's final decision" She added.

Mina turned off her phone and went to Chaeyoung's office immediately.

Mina entered the office, the room was empty, curious on where the girls were.
