Chapter 26

Mina and Chaeyoung arrived at a centipede of people. The line was so long, but they nonetheless decided to wait for their turn. Large ferris wheel with its colorful lights have been the main attraction of the place.

"Why here?" Mina asked, not looking at her but on the ferris wheel. Her head tilted up while lips trembling on how the tip is so far from the ground. "You know, i really don't like heights Son."

"Chill, Minayah, you got me." Chaeyoung said while tapping Mina's shoulder in a friendly way. "This is the only way I could help you, so you could shower the moon with your unanswered questions." She added meeting the other girl's eyes.

"Dumbass, I'm definitely gonna close my eyes the entire ride" Mina replied still frightened on how she could finish this ride without actually passing out.

They're coming closer to the gate of the Ferris wheel. The car on the ferris wheel could only fit two people but person's are given the authority whether they would like to go alone or not.

"I suppose you guys would go together?" The guy on the booth asked them, assuming they're couples.

"So what do you think Mina?" Chaeyoung asked Mina who is lost in her thoughts, still cannot make up her mind if she'll go. She snapped out of her thoughts when Chaeyoung flicked her forehead.

"Yah! What was that for?" Mina irritatedly said, ready to burn Chaeyoung alive with the fires on her eyes.

"I was asking you if you wanna go together? Hurry up, a lot are waiting" Chaeyoung replied, looking at the guy apollogetically because he has to witness their argument and for keeping up the line.

" 'You got me' your ass!" Mina uttered quietly, purposely letting Chaeyoung hear only. The other girl just snickered on how cute that came out.

"Yes please, we're going on the same car." Chaeyoung at last acknowledge the guy with sweet smile plastered on her face.

They both went in. Mina felt as if her knees are going weak, bones are brittling every step she's making to the Ferris Wheel, she felt that she could just fall any second now until a hand grab hers as the thumb caresses her hand. She looked up and their eyes meet for nth time, but what's interesting is, the spark never worn out.

"Come on, i told you, I got you" Chaeyoung assured as she tugged Mina inside the car.

The ferris wheel began to move, and Mina literally stunned and cannot move herself. Chaeyoung transferred to her side since they were facing each other. She caress Mina's back, settling her hands at her back. Mina shut her eyes, wishing that she just didn't go. She was talking to herself that it will be alright as if she is talking to another version of her. For a few minutes, they neared the tip, and as they plot the exact location of the tip. The ferris wheel stopped midair, leaving everybody stunned due to mechanical difficulties.

Mina's soul could seperate from her body at the moment. She's in a moment between life and death. She looked at the situation like a tragedy epilogue of her life. But then suddenly, a tight hug made her feel alive in the longest time she's been dead. Like a light in her heart began to put back the beating.

"Hey, you're crying. I didn't know this could bring more complications than earlier." Chaeyoung guiltily said, though she's really worried, she just looking down on her own lap guiltness taking over her

Mina didn't noticed that tears are racing to fall on her cheeks. But she just felt warmth, the fright that was gathering earlier into her, disappeared like bubbles that suddenly popped. She wiped her tears and began to lean her head into Chaeyoung's shoulder as her eyes settled on the sky. Chaeyoung flinched on the sudden action but later on get herself comfortable. A moment of silence engulfed them, feeling the warmth and comfort both of them release.
