Chapter 51

Silence was overlapping in Shae ears despite the loud mourns of her Aunts. The doctors and nurses inside the ward busied themselves in reviving the two lives of Chaeyoung and Mina. Her tears can't stop streaming down her cheeks as she was so lost on the scene that is happening in front of her.

All the ruckus stopped and both the doctor declared, "time of death, 9:24 p.m."

"Minaaaa!" Sana screamed, trying so hard to escape Tzuyu's embrace.

"Chaeyoung!" Dahyun followed like an echo to Sana's scream when she arrived at that moment. She rushed towards Chaeyoung's bed, shaking her desperately as if she'll get Chaeyoung to wake up.

The other girls dropped down to the floor as Momo hugged Kinne tight, moving closer to Mina's bed. Momo held Mina's hand, putting it on her cheeks saying, "I-i'm sorry if I failed as a friend again M-minari." Her tears escapeld her eyes.

Sana couldn't stand the pain anymore as she let herself crash on Tzuyu while holding Shae still.

"Let her go Tzu, let them go" Jihyo said as her voice shaked. Tzuyu made Sana to stand straight as she guide her to go to Mina's bed.

Tzuyu took Shae from Sana who was so bewildered on the things that is happening around her. Sana went to hug Momo as Kinne was confused who these people are but let the two girls embrace nonetheless.

"Minayah, I understand that you've fought enough, both you and Chaeng. But I-i just can't i-imagine how life w-would b-be without y-you. How c-can w-we continue t-this Minayah?" Sana said after she let go of her and Momo's hug. "I w-will n-never forget that I h-have such a-an amazing sister i-in you. Mina I h-hope you h-have been t-truly happy before y-your last breath, your last m-moments here in this world. I-i love you Mina so m-much. I promise that I will love your daughter as my o-own. We'll k-keep her s-safe Mina. Rest now c-chinggu." Sana narrated as she leaned her body on Mina's frame embracing the latter.

"Mommy, why, why did you leave me Mommy?" Shae said that grabbed the attention of every person in the room. "Mommy, I am so glad that you are my real Mom. But why does our time together have to be so short?" She innocently asked, "Mommy, are you with Mama up there?" She added as Tzuyu let her down on the bed. Shae lay beside Mina as she hugged her late mother's frame and closed her eyes as memories of her and Mina replayed on her mind. "Mommy, I love you so much. Please wake up, just one last time and hear me say I love you." Shae said as desperation visible in her voice. "Mommy please, wake up just for a minute, please, mommy please" Shae's voice trembles as it hitched afterwards. Tzuyu carried the little girl again, comforting her as Shae settled on her shoulder, crying so loud.

"Aunt Tzuyu, why do they left me?" Shae querried that Tzuyu doesn't have any answer to, so she just caressed the back of Shae as she keep her pain to herself.

Tzuyu keep staring on Chaeyoung as she keep her strong aura. Jeongyeon went closer to her and whispered, "let it out Tzu, you don't have to be strong always, sometimes you need to break down if things went downhill."

Tzuyu made her way to Chaeyoung's bed, standing beside Dahyun. Shae looked intently at her Mother as she was trying to figure out the facial expression of Chaeyoung.

"I can see you're happy Mama." Shae said, settling herself beside Chaeyoung like how she did to Mina. "I always sneak into your room back then Mama, and I never saw you this peaceful. I am glad you're happy Mama. Are you and Mommy happy up there?" Shae said, understanding that maybe Chaeyoung and Mina are happy wherever they are now. "Mama thank you so much for always taking care of me, for being always there whenever I need somebody to hold my hand. When you and Mommy are not here anymore, I don't know who's gonna hold my hand if I get nervous Mama. Can you please still be there whenever I have recital on stage?" Her voice wavered remembering how Chaeyoung shamelessly cheered whenever she had to perform on stage. "I will miss you kisses and hugs Mama. I will miss uttering the word "Mama" for every minute, because from this day you will never be here and there will never be you that I call "Mama". I will miss you Mama so much and I will never stop loving you Mama, you're the best Mama I ever have. Thank you Mama for not giving up on me and for not leaving me behind though I was not from you. Thank you for treating me as somebody that is the best thing that happened to you. I dont know Mama but I'm so scared on what will happen tomorrow if you're not there anymore." Shae ended, standing up from the bed, opening her arms wide to Tzuyu, asking for comfornt.

Tzuyu didn't hesitate to hug the vulnerable kid infront as she began to crash her walls and cried silently with Shae.

"I will still keep my promise Son, I will forever protect Shae for you. I will treat her best like you did and I will never let her feel lonely and scared. Thank you for being the best bud we ever had, I will never forget you. And just rest well with Mina Unnie up there, We'll take care of your child. Love you so much chinggu" Tzuyu ended as she held Chaeyoung's hand.

The room was full of sorrow as the people in there was showered with pain that will never be healed by anything.
