When we came to class, there was a pretty good mood. The students were laughing and smiling at each other, it was weird until I looked at the papers that were placed on the front desk. There were forms for each student that we had to fill out. It was a trip to the mountains where students could ski or snowboard.

When I looked at Jasper, he was smiling like the rest of the class. I know that he loves skiing and that he was very pleased with this news. As for me, I have never skied and the idea of a high slope at the top of a mountain is not very pleasant for me.

„You look happy" I smiled at him.

He nodded and the smile on his face grew bigger.

„You will go as well, right?" He asked.

It is true that I did not go with them last year, its not because I didn't want to, but mom couldn't afford it. I don't want to leave Jasper alone, but I can't promise to go there with him.

„I don't know Jay, I'll see what my mom says, okay?" I couldn't even look him in the eyes, I didn't want to disappoint him.

Jasper went to help the teacher with the books while I waited for him in the classroom, and all I heard was the students in the hallway talking about how they were going to smuggle cigarettes and alcohol on the ski trip. Why not make memories with friends? What's so great about alcohol and cigarettes? I think I will never understand this topic and trend.

I continued reading the book and was immersed in the story when Chloe came to my desk.

„What are you reading Alexandria?" She asked with a laugh and snatched the book out of my hands.

I just sighed. I wasn't in the mood to argue with her, but the most annoying thing is how she flipped through it. It was as if she thought the book belonged to her and that she had read it before.

„Give it back Chloe!" I stood up from my desk and moved closer to her.

„Why are you so interested in such unimportant things? After all, it's just a piece of paper"she rolled her eyes and laughed.

„Please give it back to Chloe!" I said louder, trying to snatch the book from her hands.

We fought over the book like children but what else would you expect from a child like Chloe. When I finally lost my patience, I ripped the book out of her hands, at which she looked surprised and let out a strong grunt.

„You broke my nail you stupid sewer rat!" she shouted and looked at the rest of her nails.

Really? She's going to cry because of a broken nail? I want to have a life like her ... where all that matters is to have good nails.

„You started it Chloe, maybe you deserve it" I said firmly.

She grabbed me by my tie and pulled me closer to her. I screamed in pain while she was just looking at me as if she was ready to stab me right here on the ground because I broke her stupid nail.

„I thought you had learned your lesson after that slap, but it looks like you still don't know where your place is!" She shouted at me.

Although I tried to get out of her grip, I couldn't , with each movement I felt as if I was running out of oxygen but she was holding on tighter and tighter until I felt my legs go numb and my vision was blurry. She just laughed at me and I wanted to cry, but at the same time I wanted to break another one of her nails.
