CHAPTER 25

Zero's POV

I  got in the car and set off, everything that happened before was still  in my head and all I could think of was the how much she deserved to get  hit.

It  was true that I didn't mean to do it but on the other hand I've warned  her that if she can't shut her mouth it won't turn out well for her, so  in the end it was her fault for not listening to me.

My  grip around the Steering wheel was tighter than before and I could  feel anger flowing through my body, maybe I was pushing away the feeling  of guilt, but what I said to her was more than enough for her to  realize that she made a mistake.

However,  it surprised me that she figured out my plan so soon because in some  situations she acts really dumb and she can't even figure out things  that are right in front of her, but the things that are far ahead she  figures out right away.

,,We were expecting you sir'' an old man greeted me right in front of the entrance to the building.

He opened the main door for me and showed me all the files that I wanted to see.

For  about 2 hours I couldn't find anything useful but I knew that somewhere  here is the thing I'm looking for, I just have to look harder. After  all these are the private files of all the people in town for which I  paid a lot of money, so the possibility that there's not a single name  I'm looking for is low, and wasting my precious time because of this  will pay off in this situation.

,,Fuck'' I said quietly and sat on the chair next to me, I can't focus because of that stupid brat!

She's  seriously driving me crazy because of her stupidity and the words she  said,  it's killing me that I can't even focus on the words in front of  me.

It's been 2 days and I can't find anything at all.....

I  was thinking for while about where I should start and then I got an  idea and I started  rummaging through all the files again, although it  took me another 2 hours, I finally figured out how to get to the truth.

,,Can I offer you something? Do you want me to get you a drink sir ?'' The old man asked.

,,Leave and I will be more than satisfied'' I said without looking at him as I was still rummaging through all of the paper's.

,,As you wish sir'' he said and left.

It  occurs to me that I was more focused than ever before until my phone  rang, I've tried to ignore it but the more it rang the harder it was for  me to focus on all those names written in front of me.

,,I  told you not to call me Noah, what the fuck  did you not understand in  that sentence?'' I asked annoyed as I walked closer to my window holding  a file.

,,I'm sorry sir, but it's about your mom'' he said.

I  looked out the window and it seems like it would start raining any time  soon, people were walking outside and cars were driving past and for  some reason both of us went silent.

,,What's  wrong with her?'' I sighed and closed the file that I was holding in my  hands. I was looking at the people outside who were walking to school  and work.
