A  few days had passed since Chloe's death and there was complete  confusion everywhere. They closed the school for a few days because the  students were traumatized by what they saw and mainly because there was a  funeral. On the other hand, I didn't know how I felt, I couldn't  describe the feeling, or rather I was afraid to express it. I tried to  convince myself that I was sorry for Chloe, but somehow I couldn't let  out a single tear for her.

I  was sitting in class and everyone was completely quiet, at least most  of them, Rebecca wasn't in class and there were only a few of us in  class. Whoever wanted could go back to school and who needed to mourn  for a while because of Chloe could stay home.

My  gaze was fixed on Zero, who sat quietly against the chair and watched  the board in front of him. The thought of Chloe's dead body appeared in  my head and I didn't know what to do, I remember fainting but then  Jasper came, but Jasper wouldn't even hurt a fly, on the other hand Zero  is watching me everywhere.

Maybe  I thought for too long because my head started hurting, but I wanted  answers and I knew that I would have to ask Zero about it later,  otherwise my conscience would actually kill me.

„Are you okay? You're a bit pale Ria" Jasper said softly and patted me on the head.

I nodded that I was okay and gave him a quick smile.

It's  still weird between us but it's better than it was before I was happy  for it. But I still can't force myself to see him the same way, it still  hurts, it just needs time.

„Jay.... was Chloe there when you came to the roof?" I asked and played with a pencil in my hand.

He thought for a moment as if he had imagined everything that happened in his head from the beginning.

„No...at least I don't think so, I don't know, I wasn't paying attention to anything but you. Why do you ask?" he asked quietly.

„No reason" I laughed slightly, hoping he would leave the subject alone.

He nodded and continued to look at the board in front of us.

This  whole situation is weird and I don't understand it, if Chloe wasn't on  the roof when I was there then when did she actually die? I'm 100% sure  Zero has something to do with it, it just doesn't make sense to me why he would  do something like that. They were so similar that it seemed strange to  me that he would kill someone who is a psychopath like him.

It  was lunchtime and the hallways were almost empty. Everyone looked sad  and the whole school reminded me of zombies, instead of laughter and  screaming there was crying and silence.

My  thoughts were scattered and I couldn't concentrate, there were pictures  everywhere in the hallway with the text "rest in peace" I don't know if  it's from their good will or that it's just because Chloe's family was  the main sponsor of the whole school, but I won't talk shit about her  when she's already dead. It is said that it brings misfortune.

„What are you thinking about?" Jasper asked me on the way out of class.

„Nothing" I laughed, hoping he would change the subject.

„Liar...it's  because of Chloe right? Are you okay? After all seeing something like  that with your own eyes can leave a mark" he said sadly as if he were  sorry for what had happened to her.
