CHAPTER 8

It's been a few days since Zero started attending our school. He didn't talk to me much but he always looked at me as if he could see through me. If our gazes happened to meet, he always just smiled and continued to watch my every step closely. As I expected, our whole class believed his lies, especially Chloe, who tried to get with him from the first day he came to school and sent her old boyfriend away. Jay and I were the only ones to stay as far away from Zero as possible. As for the Chloe incident, I'm free from her at least for a while, as she's currently busy seducing Zero.

I really don't understand, everyone is completely obsessed with him just because he looks nice. A few days ago we did trial tests and it was customary for me and Jay to always pass with the highest number of points, while the rest of the class failed. But a few days ago, when the results were hung on the school website, Zero got the most points of all students in the whole school, so even teachers now like him.

„Why do you have an expression on your face like you want to kill me? Or are you just not enjoying lunch? '' Jasper asked, snapping me back into reality.

„I'm sorry, it's just that something is annoying me" I played with the food that was on my plate.

„Let me guess...you're annoyed because you didn't get the highest scores but someone else did" he laughed.

I'm sorry to admit it, but he is right. I was proud of my marks and results, which I always worked so hard on, but now I find that I have gotten worse and that's all because of the manipulative psychopath who thinks that when he comes to a new school, everything belongs to him and that he is the best.

„Ria ... you'll always be the best in my eyes, okay?" he grabbed my hand and smiled.

Although I wasn't in the mood to smile at the time, I still gave him a smile. I knew he was trying to be strong for me because he knew it was very important to me.

Jasper's gaze looked strange and for some reason he was no longer smiling at me because he was focused on something behind me. As I looked behind me, Zero was entering the cafeteria with Chloe and her minions. Zero's shirt was slightly unbuttoned and Chloe's hair was ruffled. He was holding Chloe around her waist and together they went to where most of the "richest brats" sat.

Interesting, so the gossip about them being together was true in the end. It looks like Chloe finally got what she asked for. Her smile indicated that she was having a good time, and Zero's gaze was blank as if he felt nothing.

I felt sick, I don't know if it was from the fact that I saw them both after having sex with each other or from the food that was really bad in this cafeteria.

„I lost my appetite Jay, can we go?" I asked.

„Mhm, let's go I also feel sick" he said angrily, as if the same thoughts were running through his head.

It's not that I don't support their relationship, but the idea that someone would be willing to be with a murderer who killed a lot of people surprised me. However, I realized that Chloe didn't know anything about Zero and I may have felt a little sorry for her. One side of me felt sorry for her, and the other said that karma is a bitch and had finally bit Chloe in the ass.

„Don't tell me you're jealous Ria?" Jasper asked on the way to our classroom.

„No, but I'm disgusted anyway. Having sex in an empty classroom seems illegal to me." I felt that my body was covered in chills just at the thought of seeing Chloe naked.

„Maybe if you had someone...you'd see it differently" he said.

„I don't plan on being with someone in a relationship, Jasper. It causes problems and then my years of hard work to get the best grades would be useless,'' I said seriously. I plan to do a lot of things and a relationship doesn't fit into my plan at all. At least not yet.
