He didn't want to say that the last two months have been the best of his life, but Regulus loved being at Hogwarts. He had finally got into a good routine with his school work and was at the top of his classes which pleased his parents. In terms of his other family members, Regulus thought everything was going great.

Regulus could proudly call himself a great time manager. During the school week he focused on school and made sure his homework was always done on time, if not early, which left him plenty of time to catch up with Narcissa and Lucius in the Slytherin common room. Hanging out them was probably the easiest thing Regulus could ever do- being that all he had to do was let Narcissa talk about the way he's dresses and suggest restyling his hair. Then he lets Lucius think he's teaching Regulus a new spell even though Regulus has already read his year and second years spell books and has gotten most of them down.

Regulus met with them maybe only once or twice during the week, most of his evenings were taken up by Emmeline. They would leave dinner together and instead of heading to their separate common rooms they would find any bench in any hallway and they would just sit. Sometimes they'd talk, sometimes they'd read, sometimes they'd just stare at the sky. A lot of the times they would sit in silence until another student passed and one of them would make a remark about the person and that's how their conversations would get started.

Nights were easy. It was everything before that that would occasionally frustrate Regulus.

At 7 am every morning of the school week Regulus' roommates were up and getting started with their days. This would be completely fine with Regulus had they continued to use the silencing charm he had taught them, but as time passed they seemed to grow more and more comfortable in the room and grown used to the rage of morning Regulus.

He would throw things but they have gotten good at ducking or simply catching them. The two muggle-borns had also picked up on using defensive spells to counter whatever Regulus throws at them. The poor fourth dorm mate had still refused to use magic and would just pout and shrug off whatever pain and jinx Regulus sent his way.

While Regulus found him incredibly pathetic and constantly wanted to hex all three of them, he couldn't stop himself from feeling an odd warm feeling in the pit of his stomach when they asked him to join them whenever they played their muggle games in the dorm. And it was every time- without out fail anytime they sat to play the weird game that he thinks might have something to do with dragons, they would say," Hey Regulus do you want to join us?"

Of course without fail Regulus would always say no and leave the room, and he would never tell another living soul but he appreciated that they still asked.

At 7:30 am Regulus would stumble into the common room where Lily Evans is always waiting for him. Much to his protest she would tie his tie and the two would set off to the Ravenclaw tower with their elbows linked. After meeting Emmeline Vance outside of the tower the three of them headed to breakfast. Regulus liked this part of the routine. During breakfast he just got to sit and eat and listen to Lily go on and on about usually one of two things.

If things went normal and well in Lily's morning routine she would rant the most about herself. She would tell Regulus all about her muggle life and while she tried to skirt around the topic he eventually got her to admit her passionate dislike towards her sister.

"Her name is Petunia, that's where her tragic bitterness began," Regulus laughed in an attempt to make the frowning ginger smile the October morning that the fellow Slytherin confessed her true feelings about her family. Regulus had coaxed her into it by just reminding her that he knew what it was like to not have a perfect family as she probably picked up from Sirius.
