When Regulus made it back to his dormitory it was empty which he was more then grateful for. He had no idea why but Regulus felt a burning sensation throughout his whole body. He toed off his shoes and collapsed on his bed with a heavy sigh.

He just wanted to rest now. Maybe he would skip the match- it's not like Lily wanted to go in the first place and Emmeline could just go with her Ravenclaw friends. That's it, he just wanted to rest.

Regulus' head was a slosh of thoughts, he couldn't tell what any of them were. It was just feelings and too many at that. He laid on his side with his arm under his head and the other was pulling at the frays of his sweater on his hips. His black hair was flat and splayed out behind his head.

His eyes fluttered shut for just a moment, and then they were forced to snap open when there was a sharp knock to his door.

"Oh little Regulus!" Narcissa's sugar like sweet voice creeped under the door and to Regulus. "We're going to the quidditch match together!"

Regulus was tempted not to get up. They didn't know he was in here and he could have gone to the game with Lily as he originally planned. He lifted his head slightly to look across the room where one of his mud blood roommates had an obnoxious muggle clock that read six after noon.

"Come on Regulus, Sirius is waiting outside!" A much louder but nearly the same sweet voice floated through the door. Regulus sat up sharply. Andromeda and Sirius were going with Narcissa and Lucius? Regulus had to see this. He gripped his sweater and scrambled off his bed.

He swung the door open to in fact be met with the perfect golden cascading curls of his older cousin. "Hi Meda," Regulus said with a soft smile.

"Ah perfect!" Narcissa squealed behind him and then she came up to his side. As per usually she was dressed in a small tight skirt and a beautiful ensemble of green and silver. She linked her pale skinny arm through his and then through her sister's and the three of them left the Slytherin common room together.

Waiting outside for them was Lucius looking completely uninterested in the conversation taking place beside him. Sirius stood with his back to Lucius as he and Ted engaged in a wild conversation about what Regulus could only assume was some muggle thing.

Ted was the first to greet Regulus when the three of them joined the others. He reached an arm out to snake it around Andromeda's waist and when she was securely in his arms and pressed against his chest he turned to Regulus with a beaming smile. "Hi Regulus! Are you ready for the match?"

"Yes," Regulus said as he returned Ted's smile. He then turned to his older brother and gave him a lopsided grin that was reserved specifically for the curly haired Gryffindor. "What are you doing here?"

The group began to walk down the corridor and Sirius tossed his arm over Regulus' shoulder and leaned in close to whisper," they're holding me hostage."

Regulus laughed, leave it to Sirius to come with the dramatics. "I like that you're here," Regulus responded and Sirius nodded with a happy grin.

Sirius didn't remove his arm from Regulus. They walked side by side and when Sirius passed his Gryffindor mates, he smiled at them but that was it. They climbed all the way to the top of the Slytherin stands and Sirius didn't seemed bothered by everyone sneering at him.

Regulus found it odd how Sirius seemed to rage a new confidence as he wore his own maroon knitted sweater while sitting in a sea of dark green. But maybe it was Regulus who was off. Behind him sat Narcissa and Lucius who looked comfortable and radiant in the sun. As head boy Lucius caught the attention of everyone around him, and as his destined-to-be-wife, Narcissa was basking in the attention. Even Ted and Andromeda were happily engaged in conversation with their friends around them and Ted didn't look like he even noticed the judgmental looks he was getting.
