"Two and a half years later!" Emmeline all but cried as Regulus closed the cabin door behind him. She was slouched across the entire left bench and when she moved her head to look at him, her hat shifted and all the hair she had tucked in cascaded over her face and down her shoulder. It had gotten so long that the end of her hair still hit the floor with a light thud.

She groaned and scoffed as she dug her hand across her face and flipped all her hair behind her as sat up straight. "Terrible. Bloody disgusting. Ugh!" Emmeline huffed out as she gathered all her hair together on the side of head and twisted it vigorously.

When it didn't stay in place she let out the loudest sign Regulus had ever heard and dropped it all loosely behind her back. "I need a new hairstyle!"

By the end of her dramatics Regulus had settled across from her and looked more casual than ever. Taking full notice of him, Emmeline sat up even straighter them leaned forward to him with her elbows on her knees and asked," are you wearing jeans?"

He was. Not only was this the first time he's worn jeans around her, or anyone else outside of his family for that matter, but he was wearing a soft light blue sweater. He thought he looked classier then the way she so casually said jeans though.

Regulus' eyebrows pulled together as he scrunched his nose. "They're nice jeans. I was also wearing my coat over it while walking here," he explained to her and leaned against the back cushion. "It thought it was a fashionable outfit, that's what the collar under the sweater is for and, look at my boots," and he stuck his legs out beside her.

Emmeline looked at his boots and laughed. It wasn't a malicious laugh, it was endearing as she looked at him and said," yeah they're great. Not better then the new platform boots I know I'll be getting for Christmas from Ol' Nicky-" this made Regulus snort and mutter that Santa Clause wasn't real.

"I know that," she gave him a sharp look and then rolled her eyes continuing," the outfit is a great choice Regulus it's nice to see you in a casual pair of pants."

Regulus only rolled his eyes back and crossed his arms across his chest. She waved him off. "Pouty Pouty. Anyways how many letters can I expect over break?"

He looked at her like she was crazy. "None?" And that seemed to make her more upset and she became the one to look at him bewildered. "One, Emmeline. I will write you one letter this Christmas."

"No Regulus you will write me two letters, one letter Christmas morning all about your family time and presents-" Emme looked at him sternly but Regulus just rolled him eyes. He cleared his throat to interrupt her.

"We actually don't exchange gifts till the evening. Well, Sirius and I exchange gifts in the morning. Then our parents give us each one 'surprise early gift' according to my mother, yet she does it every year. Then we go to my cousin's house, the entire family is there- it's an event actually. Then dinner. Then gifts. Then we get a few days of freedom, my cousins and I usually take some kind of trip, and on the eve of the New Year we host another event but at my house."

When Regulus finished explaining his break he seemed more upset than when he first started. Emme shook her head and reached across the cabin to grab his hand. "I'm just here for you Reg, so write to me or not but if you do I promise to write back."

Regulus felt inclined to laugh. Laugh at her display of emotions, laugh at himself for feeling his heart beat a little faster. "Thanks E," was all he said though, and he gave her a sweet smile then the train jolted forward and he placed his head against the cold window.

"I'm going to take a nap," he told her with his eyes already closed. He didn't see her staring at him- examining him- trying to understand him.

"Okay Regulus," she said softly and settled across her bench. She placed her foot against the edge of the sliding door of the cabin, pushing against it, keeping anyone from sliding it open. "May you rest easy, sleep well, feel ultimate peace, my dear king, oh blessed be Prince Regulus almighty thee ruler of cabin napping-"
