Chapter 8; The Song

Rainbow Dash:

Today, again, everyone will be going to see the guys do another song for us. Apparently, the song is called 'My Loyalty'. Hmmm. I wonder.... Anyway, I'm still pretty excited. When I arrive, I walk down into the basement where everybody is sitting already. I take a seat in the only open chair In the middle of the watching area. Hmmm. That also seems suspicious, but whatever. I watch the guys getting ready. For some reason, Burning Flame seems nervous, and usually he's pretty cool about these things. Hmmm, another..weird thing. Also, the girls are giggling next to me. "Uh, what's so funny guys?" I ask "Oh, nothing.." They all say in harmony. Ugh, what is up?!?

Burning Flame:

The time is coming up, and I'm nervous. I wrote this song to show her, but what if it doesn't work? What if she says no? What if- my thoughts are cut off by Flash saying : "we're on in 2 minutes!" I freak out. Oh god, for some reason, the only way to think about this is negatively, even though I'm a positive guy. 2 minutes later, and we have to go on. I'm probably gonna fail at this whole thing. I can barley sing, no matter what Flash says. And even so, I could still mess up an a lyric or mess up on the beat. So many things could go wrong!! "Alright guys, in position!" Flash exclaims. Ok , Flame you can do this. I sit on my drumming chair. I can do this. "One, two, three, four!" I call out and start playing the beat. Flash starts playing the guitar, it all starts out as usual, and I feel fine. Now, I just have to sing the song...😨. "I've had feeling for you since we met, and I'll never forget that day. Maybe sometime in the future we'll be together, but that may not be in forever. It's your choice, I won't force you to love me. You're so beautiful, it's hard to believe. Yoooou're all IIIIII see! You are just so kind, funny, generous, honest, and magicall! My Loyalty." I start off, singing the first verse. I look towards Rainbow Dash quickly during the musical break before the second verse, and she looks so beautiful and cute, blushing and all.Also she had the cutest smile on her face... It encouraged me to go on. "You're kind like a butterfly, just my kind." Wink "you are very honest, and that's so great, you make me laugh with no haste. You're so generous, you give to everyone . You've got magic that is never done. And ohhhhh you make me swooon, with all youuu do. It's up to you. You're all I need. You're just so kind, funny, generous, honest and magical! My Loyalty!" Last little musical break, and finally, the song ends. I sigh a sigh of relief. It's over, and now is the time I formally ask Rainbow the question: 'Will you go out with me?'
