Tris's Point of View

"Tris, baby. Let's go." Four states, I feel his grip on my arm and I flinch.

"It's my fault Four, it's all of my fault." I whisper.

"Baby, it's not your fault."

"I killed him."

"Did you put a bullet through his head?"

"I caused that to happen." I murmur, staring at Al's lifeless body.

"Tris, I need you to be here with me now. Don't lose it."

"I caused it Four." I say louder, tears brimming in my eyes. I killed an innocent man. His grip gets tighter and I wince, he instantly softens his grip.

"Baby, look at me." He demands, I glance at him; his figure blurry since it tears cloud my vision. He cups my cheek, causing warmth to spread across my face, for some reason I'm flushing. "It wasn't your fault." He leans in and kisses me, I feel frozen, surprised by his action. But then, I melt into the kiss.

His tongue licks my lip, asking for entrance, I let him in; and then I feel his tongue brushing against mine. I feel a whole mix of emotions that I can't describe. My stomach is going crazy and my heart beats rapidly. It's been a long time since we kissed like this. I missed it.

Our tongues wrestle each other, as I wrap my arms around his neck, his sweat soaks my forearms but I don't mind.I feel one of his hands lay on my waist and I shiver; neither of us pull away.

Finally, I pull away to take a breath. I glare at him, staring straight at his blue eyes that shine love and care.

"I love you." I say.

"I love you too Tris, I love you so much."

"Don't leave me, don't leave me or Tobias." I whisper, my voice cracking.

"Why would you say something like that? I will never leave the two loves of my life."

A tear rolls down my cheek, I wipe it away. "I don't know why I'm crying." I mutter.

"I won't leave you. I won't leave my child. I won't leave my family."

"I know that, I want you to be careful. Stick with our group, don't do risky things Four," I state. He scoffs, I scrunch my eyebrows. Is he angry?

"You think I'm stupid?" He asks, I shake my head but before I can speak, he interjects. "Because that's why you're implying."

"No, I'm not, I saying you have to be cautious-"

"I am! Tris, I am careful!" He shouts, I don't reply, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." His voice turns softer. "I'm such a piece of shit sometimes. I won't do risky things, I'll always be here to protect my family."

"Thank you." I murmur, if something happens to Four, I won't be able to continue on with life. I love him too much that I'll die without him.

"Let's go back to the camp."

And with that, we start walking back, leaving Al behind.

~~~
We pace into a post office, it's small, but it'll do for now. Chris, Will, Zeke, Uri, Lynn, Shauna, Hector, and Leah are scattered around the room. Christina cradles Toby in her arms, I hear her singing a lullaby, softly. Uriah and Zeke sat on the floor, chatting, their backs are against the floor. Will is reading an unknown novel. Hector is talking to Shauna, Lynn and Leah.
But someone is missing, Al. A deep dragging feeling starts in my stomach and expands, and I can't do anything to cease it from getting worse.
"Tris." I hear Chris exclaim, but not too loud since Toby is already asleep. Everyone turns silent and I feel their eyes on me. "How are you?"
"Fine." I lie against my teeth, she nods.
"Is Al gone?" She asks, I nod. She gives me a smile but it instantly disappears, she must've noticed my expression. "Whats wrong?"
Four answers for me, "Al's dead," A gasp from Leah pops out.
"What?" Leah asks, her voices crackly.
"He's dead Leah." Four repeats, she shakes her head.
"He was going to hurt Tris Leah," Uri starts.
"Well, it seems like he didn't want to hurt her on purpose." Four retorts, a few more gasps pop out.
"What? What do you mean?" Leah asks, tears gleaming in her eyes.
"He was brainwashed." I reply, gritting through my teeth. "He didn't mean to hurt me."
"Holy shit." Zeke mutters, "He got brainwashed?"
I nod.
"Did he killed himself?" Leah questions, a tear running down her cheek. I hesitate to tell her. She and Al were close.
"Yeah. I'm sorry Leah." Four responds, she looks away; I hear her sniff.
"It's fine- I- need to go." She manages to say, before walking to another section of the building.
There's silence, you could smell the shock and grief. Al was family, no matter what. I want to cry, since it was my fault. I hear a few sniffles, but everyone holds it in. I have too also.
"Well, we know what we should do." Zeke growls, we all look at him, waiting for an order.
"We have to kill the ass who did this."
