Tris's POV
"Someone came back in the building!" A man yelled, panic in his speech.

"Who?" I heard the sharp tone of the woman's words and I knew it was Jeanine.

"The man! Four!" The same slightly deep voice replied.

"Then handle it!" She responded, I could hear the voices in the hall, and feet shuffled against the marble floors.

I stared back into the faces with masks over their mouths. An older man, the doctor, raised his eyebrows.

"I said to move your head to the right Prior." He said, a slight accent in his prickly voice. "Do I have to drug you?"

I tried to speak, I opened my mouth but no words came out, only air. I wanted to say, 'you can't tell me what to do', yet I couldn't.

"Move your head." The woman on my left stated, her green eyes full of...pity. Wrinkles aligned around her eyes, indicating she was older then me.

"No." I breathed out.

"Divergents are so stubborn." The doctor grumbled, " We didn't want to do this girl."

Before I could reply, a needle gets shoved into the side of my neck.

The world slowly faded into darkness.

Four's POV

I sprinted down the halls, hearing the yells of panic following me. I just need to find her, then I'll be okay. We'll be okay.

When I turned the corner, a skinny boy with a gun faced me, around the age 15. He shook with the gun in his hands.

"Le-leave." He stuttered.

"Give me the gun kid, or you won't get hurt."

"Help. Help me...please." He whispered, a tear streaming down his face. I tried to ignore his comment.

"Kid. Give me the weapon."

"I'll help myself then." The kid said, he placed the pistol in his mouth.

"No!" I yelled, but it was too late.

There was blood everywhere. My face, the floor, the wall.

What could cause a boy to do that? What is Jeanine doing behind these walls?

I couldn't think about that in that precise moment, I lean down and grip the adolescent's gun. I ran faster, hearing footsteps pounding behind me.

Where are you Tris?

I bump into another person, an older person. I push him against the wall, his blue eyes full of terror.

"Where's Tris Prior?" I growled.

"I- I don't know mister," he stuttered.

"You're lying." I pressed the gun on the side of his head. "I'll kill you, you worthless piece of-"

"Okay! Okay! She's upstairs, room B61." He yelled, tears streaming down his face.

"What is Jeanine doing with everyone's head? She's doing something." I stated.

"I don't know!" He yelled back, sobbing. "Please, I don't know!!!"

"You're worthless." I let go of him and darted down the halls, rushing to the stairway.

A drip of sweat beaded down my forehead, yet I ignored it as I raced up the stairs.

When I reached the hall, I checked the door numbers.

B1

I sprinted down the halls, checking each door number until I reached B61.

I touched the doorknob with my sweaty hand and opened the door.

What I saw was horrifying.
