Tris' Point of View
*One Year Later*

The world is different now.

The dead ones practically disappeared from sight.

People who have died were brought back to life.

It's as if the apocalypse never happened.

The population went up by 4 billion. It was amazing to see family's reunite, to see people cry tears of joy, to see the happiness gleaming in their eyes.

The apocalypse distant hazy memories still return to haunt me. I have nightmares about the dead ones hurting Four or Tobias, I have nightmares about Jeanine.

Jeanine didn't come back to life.

Half of the 4 billion people on Earth are Divergents; Jeanine cannot make the population go down. People understood why and they simply pushed it away, no one really cared that she won't come back.

Tobias is babbling a lot, he's starting to say parts of words, like "Ma" or "Pa". Tobias asked me to marry him, I agreed and I keep admiring the ring and the memories of the grand wedding.

Not everyone was able to come back, my brother wasn't. He was torn to shreds by dead ones. My mother couldn't come back, her body was never found.

It's heartbreaking to not see my parents or my brother walking around, I can't wrap my arms around them like Chris does to her relatives.

However, I still have my own family. Four, Tobias, Christina, Zeke, Uriah and more. The people who have died in our unforgetable war were brought back. Shauna, Lynn and others.

It was a long lapse of time to get this whole process done, nearly 8 months.

Four walks over with Tobias, their brown hair all messy. I laugh, and Tobias and Four return the gesture.

Four leans in and plants a kiss on my nose, his lips are warm against my skin. Tobias grips my short locks of hair and I chuckle at his dark blue eyes wide with curiosity.

"Tris, I love you." Tobias whispers, his breath hot against my face. I smile, and lean into his forehead.

"I love you too."

We have survived so many hardships.

But, we don't have to survive anymore.

We don't have to live in fear anymore.

Now,

We can live in peace.
