He hits Uriah in the shoulder. He falls back and stumbles to cover, shooting at the same time.

Then the fighting begins.

I shoot at the man, but he dodges all the shots. Four grips my arm and I look at him.

"Go upstairs with Tobias." He demands, I shake my head stubbornly.

"No, I'm going to help." I raise my voice, as gunfire fill the air. He shakes his head and the next thing I know he pushes me to the floor. We groan in pain and discomfort. He sits up and grabs me, he rushes us to cover, which is a flipped table.

Wait...that means...

"Four!" I start, he pivots his head and looks straight into my eyes. Yet he's distant, unfocused. I pull up his long sleeve and there's no bullet marks. My fingers trace the cotton shirt until I feel a warm substance near his ribcage.. I pull my fingers away, that are shaking frantically, and blood soaks them. Red and fresh.

"Oh god no." I whisper, my voice breaking. His hand cups my cheek. I look up at him, my vision turning blurry since I'm on the edge of crying. I want to tell him that he won't die, that we'll be okay but he seemed to say it before me.

"I won't die Tris, I'm as tough as nails. We'll be okay." He states, trying to smile, but it turns into a grimace. He coughs weakly, and blood spills onto his pale lips.

That's when I lose it, I start to let the tears fall. He shakes his head and moves my forehead toward his.

"Don't cry. Don't cry." He mumbles.

I hug him tightly, while he whispers comforting things in my ear. That he won't die, that we'll be okay.

"I love you Four," I croak.

"I love you too Tris." He says. My biggest fear is that he'll stop breathing, that he will leave me with Tobias. I mumble prayers softly to myself as his breathing turns slower.
