Chapter 21

Tris's POV

We darted through the halls, alert for anyone that crosses our path. The palm of my hand is slick with sweat, the cold handle of the gun is pressed against my skin. We search for Jeanine, the wisest choice is to leave, run and never return but I need to finish this. She tortured us. No one does that to my family, the family that I learned to love, the family that i learned from that hope isn't gone, hope is still alive and it's pumping through my veins.

We checked dozens of rooms, looking for anyone who has information, but there's no one. Where is everybody? The halls are eerily quiet. "They left, didnt they?" I whispered, my voice barely audible.

"It seems like it," Four responded, "Tris, let's go,"

"No, we have to find her." I growled.

"Baby, we have to go, lets leave." Four retorted.

"But she's still here. She's still here." I repeated, Four suddenly hugged me, I embraced him back. Relieved for a comforting action.

"It's okay, its over now. Its over now." He told me.

~TIME LAPSE~

We rushed down the halls and bump into my camp. Their faces shined pure anger and relief.

"What the hell?!" Christina started, "We thought you guys were dead!"

"Where were you Four?" Uri questioned.

"I saved Tris," Four replied.

"You should've told us! You would've gotten killed!" Shauna exclaimed.

"Well, we're safe now. Let's go, Jeanine and her group probably left through the back door." I stated, suddenly, Hector comes into view,with a blue blanket in his arms.

Tears blurred my vision. "Is that-" I began. but Four responded by nodding, "Oh my god, Toby."

Hector passed Tobias to me, and I opened the blanket with shaky hands, remembering my earlier hallcinations. However, a beautiful baby boy stared at me, with deep blue eyes.

A tear streamed down my cheek and I lean down and plant a kiss on Toby's forehead. "I love you," I said,before looking back up, wiping my tear with a free hand. I hold my baby tightly, I will never let him go.

"Let's get out of this joint," Zeke muttered.

Hey guys! I decided that I'm going to set a schedule, I will try to update every Friday or Saturday, since school is too damn stressful. 😒I'll try to obtain this schedule, but im not keeping any promises XD
