Chapter 16

Unknown POV

I have him under my grasp, I'm toying with him like a charm.

Now I need him to kill them.

Because I'm going to save the world.

~FLASHBACK~

Ace had tears streaming down his pathetic face. "I'll do anything! Please just let them go!" He sobs, and then he fell on his knees.

Anything. He'll do anything.

"Hunt down divergents." I state, many of my soldiers hunt yet more people is better. I need him.

"Why do you want me to hunt down those freaks?" He asks.

"Do you want to see your family again?" I snarl, anger in my voice.

"Yes!"

"Then hunt them."

He doesn't say anything.

"They can save the world. They can cure those monsters. There's something in their brain that can cure them." I argue, "or you can watch me kill your family."

"No...I'll do it."

"Fantastic. When you have them, if the Divergent human is in a group, take them all. You never know, they can be a group of divergents."

"Okay."

"Don't kill them right away...I'll need to do a series of tests on them. But threaten them if you need to. Make them afraid of you." He nods swiftly.

"How will I find them?" Ace questioned, starting to stand up.

"I will inform you when I find a person. In fact, I have a name in mind."

"Who?"

"Beatrice. Beatrice Prior. Find her and anyone that's with her." I said, and then I hand him a picture of her that was stored in my desk drawer. Beatrice Prior is a divergent. Before the apocalypse, when factions still existed, I realized right away. That's was the joy of being an Erudite leader.

Ace nodded and opens his mouth to speak,"After I find this Beatrice, give me back my family." He demanded.

"Of course."

What he didn't know that his family is dead.

~FLASHBACK ENDS~

It still surprised me that Ace found Beatrice so quickly, she was probably in this city. Chicago.

I expected he'll take months, but he only took a week.

He stands in front of my desk, his eyes are calm.

"I have the girl and I scared them enough, where is my family?" He growls.

"Now." I say, in a fast second, a needle is stabbed into Ace's neck. His eyes glaze over. My soldier steps away from Ace. I smile gratefully.

Now he's under my complete control.

"Bring them to me." I demand.

"Yes ma'm." Ace responds, his voice turned slightly different. He walks out of the door to fetch me my prisoners.
