*Tina's pov*

"DROP 'EM! I domino!" I shout as everyone at the table groans and drop their dominos. I take some chips from the bowl next to me and start munching on them.

"Thank you, Thank you. Jason wash my dishes," I chuckle as he sucks his teeth and pulls everyone's dominos to mix them around. "I'm never going to win," Beanie mumbles.

"So how's it going?" Cosmo asks as she pulls her seven dominos from the pile.

"It's going, I'm going to make another blanket," I say proudly as I look at my game pieces.

"Really, so you're not worked up about what happened three days ago?" Beanie asks as she sets her pieces down. She turns to look at me and cross her hands under her chin.

"What?" My voice raises an octave higher and I silently curse myself. I try not to think about that day. After we talked we went back to the party like nothing happened, everything was 'normal' except for the weird chemistry we created. I think that's why I haven't seen him ever since that party. Maybe it's for the best. I can focus on my date tomorrow.

"Beanie," Jason reprimands her, but she ignores him.

"Um, what happened three days ago?" Cosmo asks as she looks at Beanie.

"Tim had a homecoming party, and Tina and Dick were tearing up the dance floor. Literally and figuratively," Beanie chuckles as she maintains her eye contact with me. I feel the weight of her stare and I swear I feel myself cracking.

"You should have been there, Cosmo. They had more chemistry than Tim and Genesis, and that's saying something," Jason snorts as he looks at his seven dominos.

"Really? That is saying something. I was out of town, so I couldn't attend," Cosmo says cheerfully. Oh I can't take this!

"Okay okay! We have great chemistry, I admit, but I'm in a healthy happy relationship and I don't plan on leaving. Dick and I addressed our boundaries and we haven't crossed them. We got close, but we haven't crossed it!" I explain quickly.

"Well, that's nice, but something tells me you wanted to cross that line," Cosmo winks. I can feel myself blush at the thought of what would have happened.

"I-I would never. I mean Karma is too much of a bitch, and I wouldn't  step out on Jamal.  Luckily, Dick and I discussed where we stand and we are on good terms," I say confidently.

Beanie smirks and leans back in her chair. "Really? So I was just imagining the chemistry? Anyway, I'm just glad everything is settled. I was wondering when you were going to address it. You were really upset when you left, and then came back like everything was nice. It had us all worried."

"Not everyone," Jason says as he looks at Beanie.

She rolls her eyes as she shakes her head. "Of course, not you boys. You guys are professionals at getting what you want," she winks at me before looking back at her dominos.

"Anyway, are we playing or no?" Beanie says as she takes some popcorn from the bowl next to her.

"Yeah...we're playing," I say as I lay my first domino down. What did she mean by 'professionals at getting what they want'? Dear God I hope this isn't alluding to something.

*Meanwhile Dick's pov: Blüdhaven PD*

"Shut up, man. Has anyone ever told you that your accent is like nails against a chalkboard?" I tell Penguin in his jail cell.

"Jus' you wait, Pretty boy. I'm coming after ya," Penguin warns as he hits the bars. I roll my eyes and turn my back on him. I've heard that way too many times.

"Is Birdie still talkin' shit?" Spade snarls as he gets close to the cell bars. Acacia rolls her eyes as she pulls him away from the cell. "Come on big guy, I would love to return home," she says sleepily.

I watch as she calmly takes his hands and rub them gently. His expression softens and pulls her in for a kiss.

"Aye, I didn't know you were a cop," Spade says loudly in his thick New York accent.

"Well I am," I softly chuckle as I rub my forehead. Damn those headaches again.

"It's good ta know we got someone decent in a place like this. Dirty cops are pretty much everywhere," Spade says seriously as he places his hand on my shoulder.

"Ya hang on to that," he whispers as he looks me in the eyes. I nod my head and he pats my shoulder.

"Good. Well, I'll see ya. I can't wait to get out of this get up," Spade chuckles as he wraps his arm around Acacia's waist.

"Give the baby a kiss for me. Tell her Uncle G has a pretty doll ready for her," I tiredly smile.

They hold up the "deuce" sign and leave out of the precinct.

"Hmm, I find it funny how you have a lot of connections and ways to take out thugs without a gun," Kat says as she leans against my desk.

"I'm a resourceful guy," I yawn. I stretch the back of my neck and place my hands in my pockets. I look around the semi empty precinct, and sigh. "I can't believe we came out unscathed. No casualties," I mumble.

"I can believe it. If it wasn't for those two we'd be dead," She sighs as she releases her ponytail from her. She quickly checks her phone, replies to whatever text she sees, and then sets it down.

"Yeah," I plop into my chair and put my head into my hands. What if I died tonight? What if that car hit me or those big guys crushed me? I wouldn't have the chance to tell Tina what she means to me.

"Hey you didn't die. You're here alive and safe," Kat says as she places her hand on my shoulder. I don't look at her. "Are you okay? I've never seen you so worked up. You usually shake off a night like this and keep it moving," She gently nudges me until I look at her. Fuck I need to get this off my chest. Since that party, I haven't seen her in three days.

"There's this girl who I've been thinking about constantly," I explain.

"Really, for more than a day?" Kat scoffs as she gets clears a spot on my desk to sit. I nod my head again and lean against my chair.

"Crazy, I know, but she's all I can think about for a long time. It only got worse three days ago," I admit as I think about dancing with Tina. She felt right in my arms. Maybe I'm thinking too much into it.

"Let me guess, you guys got a little too close and you're starting to rethink things?" As usual she hits it on the nail.

"Rethinking things in a good way. I feel so comfortable around her. I...I want more, but I can't have more. I can only be her friend. She's taken, and for once in my life I'm respecting that," a sudden weight lifted off my chest, and I sigh in relief.

"Wow," is all she says. I look up at her offended. Seriously, That's all she got?

"Really? 'Wow' is all you got?" I scoff as I imagine how ridiculous I sound.

"W-Well, I mean you've never been that open before. Like ever," she emphasizes as she gets off of my desk.

"Yeah yeah, I just needed to get that off my chest. Tonight really put things in perspective for me," I admit.

"All I can say is this: talk to her," Kat says as she puts her hands up and then drop them. She grabs her things off of her desk and walks looks back at me.

"Come on, I know a place that's open 24/7. Remember you owe me coffee," she chuckles as she nudges my shoulder and then heads out of the door.

I stand up and put my hands in my pockets. Is it really that simple?
