(Tina's pov: later that evening)

"Your friend seems...fun?" Jamal chuckles through the phone. I twirl my hair around as I lean against my dresser.

"Dick can be overprotective at times, but he really is a sweetheart," I say truthfully. Dick Grayson is a great guy. It's just that he can be overwhelming sometimes. Yeah overwhelmingly handsome. I immediately ignore my thoughts and focus on my conversation.

"Hey, I totally get it. I'm like that with my little sister. She's a freshman in a high school full of hormonal boys and girls," he says in disgust. I roll my eyes at his dramatics.

"Babe, college is full of hormonal boys and girls with a hint of maturity," I laugh.

His deep laugh rumbles through the phone. "Yeah, you're right," his voice lowers an octave and my ears perk up. What does he want to say?

"So, when are we going to...take the next step?" Jamal asks seductively. I don't know why he's saying it like that. I told him before I'm not ready.

"Jamal, I told you before that I'm not ready. As a matter of fact, I don't understand why we're having this conversation again," I rant. I understand that he has needs, but I'm keeping my virginity card. Until I meet the right one, I'm not losing this card to anybody.

"Look, I just asked," he says subtly. I don't answer him. He really did just ask. I know that. It's just a sensitive spot for me.

"I know and I'm sorry. I didn't mean to go all bitchy on you. I know you have needs, babe, but I'm just not ready, " I apologize. I hear him sigh the other side of the phone.

"Baby, you don't have to apologize at all. This is a touchy subject for you, and you told me before that it was a touchy topic for you. I should have known better and I'm sorry,"  he says reassuringly. "Look, before this turns into a back and forth apology match, lets just leave it at me apologizing," he says. I smile a bit.

"I'm still sorry," I chuckle. He groans and I can practically see him smiling.

"Well, if we're going to do this, let's do it in person. Dinner on Friday?" He asks. I try to answer him, but there's a knock on the front door.

"Um, yeah. Text me the time, honey; someone is at the door," I tell him. He says his goodbyes and hangs up. I set my phone on the dresser and head out of my room.

"I'M COMING!" I hurry over to the door and open it. Damn, I really have no survival skills. Just as I scold myself, Dick's face opens into a broad smile as he puts his hands in his pocket.

"Hey, Ti. I'm back and not bloody," he quips. He leans against the door as I take in time to look him over. His muscles fill out his simple blue shirt and black jeans. His shaggy black hair accents his kind blue eyes.He looks good. Really good. Too bad you have to look and not touch. No, I'm perfectly fine looking. I have a boyfriend who I can look and touch.

"I see. You also have a shirt on. That's always a plus," I say as I lead him inside.

"What brings you here, Dick? I thought I scared you off," I chuckle as I lead him to the couch.

"Well, Ti, I'm immune to your growling. You can never get rid of me," he winks. "Anyways, where's your roommate?" He takes his seat on the couch and I take the seat opposite of him.

"Grocery shopping.  We usually do it together, but I decided to stay home today," I tell him as I lean against the couch pillow.

"That's funny, I was wondering if you would like to-" I interrupt him by finishing his sentence.

"To drop by the mansion to say hi to Tim. I know, Genny called. I guess that break wasn't going so well," I say to him.

"You know thats what I thought too. Although, Jason said that they did well for those two months and when they got together again, they had the same feelings," he tells me as he copies my movements.

"Hmph, I guess those nerds do belong together," I say to myself.

"Ha, that's funny, I was said the same thing," I turn to look at him and see that he's staring at me. We hold a moment together before I look away.

"Anyway, when are you getting dressed?" He asks. I raise my brow and look at him.

"But-" I try to tell him that my social meter is on an extremely low level today, but he gets up and pulls me with him.

"Please don't take too long, Ti. I'm already late," he says as he pushes me towards my room. I look at him with wide eyes.

"What? We're on a time crunch Tina, go on and shake your tail feather," he lightly pushes me inside my room and closes the door.

Did he do what I think he did? If he wasn't my friend I'd kick his ass.
